This song is timeless. Had a major thing for her when i was a kid growin up. I remember my mom n dad wakin me up to watch her live on austin city limits in 88 or 89. But to this day i still love her, her voice. Can and have listened to her all day.

Rosanne Cash closed her Austin City Limits performance with "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me", taken from her 1985 album "Rhythm & Romance". This segment was from Austin City Limits Season 13, Episode 7: Rosanne Cash/Desert Rose Band (1988).

I am so tired of seeing her being replaced by newer artists who are not as talented as she is. She would still be performing no matter what if some people brought her up to date with other legends who have already passed on. It's almost as if she has never really existed at all, but it's because her fans on you tube are trying so hard to preserve her legacy long after her parents passed on for the next generations of country music fans, including the fans of the Late Johnny Cash..

Rosanne Cash and her father Johnny were great. Yet they get many less views, then the crap that is popular today like Hip Hop and Rap. We are going down hill.

@@scootermom1791 And to think think she wrote this when she was pissed at not having been considered for a grammy the previous year and with this song, she won it. Now THAT'S talent!! :)
@scootermom17913 ай бұрын
@@creativewriter3887 right? You'd think it was about a relationship and love and whatever like most unoriginal songs are. But after reading some history behind the song, I "had" to listen to it again (oh darn lol), and the lyrics totally work. I feel bad for her for not getting the Grammy, but I love this song! If she'd won, this song may have never existed. Lol

Shame that she doesn't sing this song live anymore. She doesn't like her hits from "Rhythm and Romance" now but it's still my favorite album of hers. And this is my favorite song.
