"shifter of my soul", I love that. Music has no boundaries, no age limits, it speaks a Universal language. Explore all genres, seek out great music, irregardless of the Country or culture. Immerse yourself in it, and you will find mankind's love of music goes all the way back to the beginning of Time and that it is already written in our souls.

Several years later, Im walking home listening to my headphones (walkman) and Roseanne Cash came on the radio with this song. It stopped me in my tracks when they played the refrain. Its the song that got me listening to Johnny and Rosanne.

@Roseanne Cash, Just wanted to say thank you for singing this beautiful country song, & me n daddy would sit back on the swing seat talking about the good ole' days & it's really enjoyable to sit down and look him in the eye and say Thank You for being the best father any one could have!! I was adopted when I was very little n have no idea what my mother and father look like, and just last year I was walking down to the corner barber shop & we all new each other and here he comes... Have no idea that was him, and he got a shave n a haircut & stared at me for awhile n of course I looked the other way n felt uncomfortable on the way he was looking at me!! And got in my dodge duel truck home on my farm n told my dad what just happened at the barber shop!! He showed me a picture of my real father n I told him that it wasn't & told him your my real father! That was the last time I ever saw him to this day, and I always wanted to know what my daddy looked like n I'm still confused on things!! Now, I'm at the Fountain Springs at Cape May nursing home n never once have I ever gotten a visit from anyone, daddy passed away n mother is in a nursing home herself n Pa.... I sure do get lonely here n it scares me, sometimes I go outside and listen to the birds chirping away or staring out the window!! I truly miss everyone in my family and now I'm alone again as always 😔
