Oh what joyful memories you bring back! My grandmother and I would spend many spring days wandering the yard and the woods to pick spring greens. Dandelion, Polk, lambs quarter, burdock, purslane, and more graced our table in the spring. Such fun picking and sorting and washing! I miss that. Now days I live in a horrible subdivision that requires us to spray our yards so none of those lovely greens can grow. We have lost so much with our modern life styles and standards of living. I’m sure many of us envy your neighborhood and the sense of community that you have. Looks like people still care about one another. I know if I was laying in my front yard dying none of the neighbors would even walk over to check on me until I started rotting and stinking up the place. Then they’d probably only call the police to report it. 😢 so wonderful to watch this magical world where people have not given up the old ways. Thank you for sharing your family and neighbors with all of us. You are blessed!!

Rose, come here as we have plenty of it growing in our backyard. We put it on top of pork meat for about 5 minutes before its done. Very tasty as it soaks up the pork fat and flavour. I am seeing this friend of yours for the first time. How sweet and homely she looks.

Oh my goodness! So much work went into picking enough to obtain the green coloring for your qingming dumplings. Definitely not laughing at you Rose! Me, I would’ve picked weeds! 😂 As you and auntie were picking through the greens, my peripheral caught movement up by your oven. I had to go back and re-watch. Sure enough, at 4:07, there’s a mysterious arm that reached out and pulled something out of the bag. 😊
