Her distinctive take is always evident: the ways she ends hers songs in a diminutive is always touching & real...

I got into a time capsule and asked to be driven back to the past, to the North Sea, and partake of their Jazz Festival, featuring Rosemary Clooney. Its been a while since I have enjoyed myself so very much. Rosemary drifts in like a breath of fresh air. SHE IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. Sweeps You off your feet in a manner most endearing. Rest Peacefully, Rosemary. The Cherubim and the Sersphim, are indeed privileged. Thank You, World of Jazz. You made my day.

such a distinctive timbre to her voice, so warm and genuine, just like her personality. i became a fan of her's in this era, when i was 19 and took my mom to her concert here in Detroit as a present. i had no idea that entertainers used to just share themselves with the audience for an evening - no costumes or pyrotechnics, just great music. in the decades since, i have learned how versatile she was - any style of music, any partners or backing. just true honest music. certainly one of the greatest popular singers of the entire 20th century. true musician, as are each member of this combo

I love Rosie. I would love to have that band behind me. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be the vocalist that I have become. I'm also from Ohio. Thanks, Mom. I think about you pushing me on. They still don't believe me when I say I'm really very shy.

God bless 'em, all having to wear those blue dinner jackets that make them look like cruise ship waiters. On the other hand, Carl J. was sort of the Norman Granz of the 1980s and 1990s, and made a lot of great records happen.

Program is identical but I feel the second is better. Band is looser (as is usually the case) and everything seems to flow smoothly. Pity I attended the first one! ;-)

At the first concert she seems to be a little bit impressed by performing on a major foreign jazzfestival, at the second concert she feels right at home and the singer and band are already warmed up. Both are great concerts. It’s hard to choose: if i had to choose i would choose the second.

Strange, but I've always hated rosemary Clooney's voice, some old lady. Also still don't like the voice of Billie Нoliday, not jazz, mewing... What the Americans found in it is unclear... Sarah Vaughan, Yes! Super-singer. The Queen, who always knew what and how to sing with a stunning vibrato, rich in nuances, goose bumps when I hear.
