Why is breathing air on the side of the ladder? We do not have that in Germany.

Kevin Hirschfeld There are air lines running from those tanks up to the basket or end of the arial. So the firefighters in the basket can have a massive reserve of air at the ready for any needs. If they have to dump a lot of water on the fire you don’t want a firefighter to need to climb down to fill air up every ~15 min. Also if you are doing emergency egress with the ariel you can put victims on air as soon as the get to your ladder.

Literally no one-not one person-gives any fucks whatsoever. I’ve been a firefighter for around 2 years and I can safely say that I’ve never discussed what a “ladder truck” is called with my colleagues

@@liamweaver2944 Ladder Tower vs. Tower Ladder. Both have a platform, but the ladders on each are different. A LADDER Tower has a ladder with side rails that can be climbed much like an aerial ladder on a ladder truck, but a TOWER ladder is an elevating platform with an escape ladder that is meant more for emergencies.
