This group is absolutely amazing! Tight, fast and flavorful. What Stochelo is doing at 1:04 is insanely hard!! (especially for how long he plays the lick) God bless the group and all who listen to them.

That's so incredible watching him play, What's even more is the fact that Django did it with two fingers. The Rosenberg Trio are a monster group of musicians. Stochelo plays like he is from another world and he is smiling like I got this!. BRAVO!!!!

note to the uninitiated: gypsy right hand technique involves doubling downstrokes quite frequently, for tone mostly. this piece is played here at 360 bpm. during the fast eighth note sections, he is doubling up on downstrokes quite alot. its insane. also, since you double down strokes on consecutive eight notes, you are often down picking the weak beat and up picking the strong beats. suffice it to say that the gypsy right hand technique has got to be one of the most impressive and counterintuitive things in the world of guitar.

This is one totally awesome video -- this particular Reinhardt composition doesn't get done that often, for obvious reasons, and these guys do it up right. Django heard the rhythm of the future -- and I think he got it right.

The one tune that proves how far ahead Django was in his time. Just imagine him ripping those solo's ala double finger.

@daveb143 If one of them had ever given up we would´t have been able to enjoy this now. ;-) Never give up! They too had to practice, practice, practice...... * looks at the six-string in his lap and goes back to his own practice, once more inspired *

Somehow i can't help thinking, Django would have had something to do with the psychedelic era had he stayed alive???

0:51 and forward, that's just....... HORY SHET! If he can do that on a steel stringed acoustic and not miss a goddamn note, imagine what he could do on an electric guitar? :o

.. but u have to admit that Jimmy emulates Stochelo´s style a lot.. And Stochelo has a better tone and a sound itself than Jimmy.. But it is uncomparable, both are amazing guitarists..

apparently not, that sentence is intelligible. I guess that metaphorically walking into a room and calling people retarded constitutes good vernacular to some, but to others its still rude. Ken, ani me'daber ivrit, kitzat. mitumatam echad. Okenki des ka, atama ga warui. Fhoot ami koor lil'muti, aravi ekhad. those are three i'm okay at, cant say i speak french though.
