Great to find this - thanks, Mogens! Back in the 80s, we Brits had maybe 60 or 70 military bands to choose from! And the 3 that are here are not even the most famous (or best), yet the do an absolutely splendid job, with great drill, perfect musicianship, so much variety and a really loud and evocative sound! Today, both the Armed Forces and the bands have been cut (though on the bright side the quality is still extremely good).

This was a great show. Today both units don't have an own band at all. As far as I know the cuts had began and some of the battalion bands were disbanded. Still most infantry regiments had two bands. And Corps had their big staff bands. Now only regular bands having their regimental identity are those of Guards and Gurkhas. I'm afraid of that some day Foot Guards' band will be merged too.

감정에 붉은 색이지만 적당한 무개감이ㅡ있어요. 실제 퍼레이드를 보지만. 비행기 군함 탱크든 없이 사람과 악기로 이렇게 화려하고 위엄있고 절도있고 힘있게 되는게 이상할 정도.

The Para's are not a “Royal” regiment. The current idea of having Army Bands seems to have come from the US, so no doubt the British Army is going to become a wholly owned part of the Pentagon.
