The only thing that could possibly be improved in this video would be having a drone flying above the band separating and coming back together in the final arena so we could see how they do it. The precision is just fantastic. thank you so much for the wonderful video.

It must drive the Directors of music of the bands mad getting the mix and timing of the various pieces Wright. The Trooping not so much as much Of the music is played in fixed points and doesn't vary such as the Regimental slow and Quick marches and Les Huganaut at the beginning and The Grenadiers Slow march when the King's Colour is being trooped through the ranks

The last few days I think the cornets sound more like traditional cornets rather than like trumpets. Have new cornets been issued?
@MikeM14-40
@MikeM14-40 Жыл бұрын
Hi daveleadbeater7652, I'm very happy to be told that I'm wrong, but I think it is unlikely that new cornets, of a different model, would have been issued "en bloc", and that, even if they had been, it is unlikely that this on its own would account for the difference in sound. I think the reality is a combination of several factors. Players of brass instruments, perhaps more so than some types of instruments, can vary their sound depending on the style of music, the occasion and context, and the kind of emotions that are to be elicited from the listener. The way the piece is written, and scored between the various instruments, will have a bearing. Also where the different instruments are positioned in the band, and from what direction they are recorded, will make a difference. I think some instruments are more "directional", than others - for example I'd say that a trombone is extremely directional. With the first march, as an example, to me it sounds much more "choral" in style than most military marches - for example the harmonies in the "loud trombone passage" (I'm sure there'll be technical term!) starting at 01:21 . Yet another variable is the context of the other types of instruments playing at the time. For example, if most of the woodwinds aren't playing because it's pouring with rain, then in relative terms the cornets might sound less "brassy" because there isn't such a contrast with some of the woodwind sounds as there would normally be. I hope my "ramble" makes some sense!

WHAT A CAREER, SERGEANT CYBAL PLAYER IN THE BAND! WHERE TO NEXT, PROGRESS TO THE TRIANGLE?
@militaryevents107
@militaryevents107 11 ай бұрын
That cymbal player will either play all percussion instruments, or play another instrument and has just been tasked with this for this event. To add to that, to play cymbals properly in a ,arching band can be very difficult!

Impressive band, but I can’t imagine how much $ “The Crown “ spends annually on all the different groups and their respective instruments and uniforms. I mean this is just 1 band, and as we all saw during the (KINGS CORONATION) they had dozens of bands. It begs the question “tung in check “ do they have anyone who is trained to fight?😮

The massed bands are just that. This "Band" are the Regimental bands of the Grenadiers (white plume) Coldstream (Red plume) Scots (no plume), Irish (blue plume) and Welsh (white over green over white). All bands mentioned irrespective of Regiment in the Army are indeed duel rolled as stretcher bearers. The corps of drums and pipes and drums within the Food Guards are the Guns platoon of individual Foot Guard btns
