I love the sleepy version so much. It feels like the constant state of exhaustion that comes from overworking. The bone deep tiredness. A fatigue that even a good night's sleep can't touch. And yet you still have to push and push and push. You're sitting at the computer at 10pm and you still have so much to do.

this songs works so well in this form, and the visuals of the video alongside it are just beautiful. this song slowed down reminds me of the feeling of giving up though, when you have so much but you cant get started and the you become slowed down but the world keeps moving around you

I realised this song is un-intentially a musical representation of ADHD paralysis, which is when people with ADHD physically can't get up and do all the things they want/should/need to do despite their minds being super busy/stressed/anxious. The lyrics represent the busy overthinking mind and the mood and chillness of the song's style represents what ADHD paralysis looks like to an outsider, like the person is just chilling when in reality their mind is 'too busy to rest their soul'.

When you contrast the lyrics and the melody it gets deeper but when you contrast the entire song with the music video is heartrending, in some kind of beautiful way though...i can't explain.
