In love with this outfit! Especially the skirt, I have a similar one in my wardrobe and love how easy it is to wear. Would definitely purchase the skirt pattern if you decided to make one (I’m a beginner and I find dresses a bit intimidating, but I would definitely try to make a skirt!) 😊

Great video, and beautiful garments Janelle! ❤🪡 I find that the skirt panels in commercial dress patterns are ALWAYS too voluminous for my liking, especially towards the bottom, so I have done some experiments with cutting down the sides of the pattern pieces before cutting out the fabric. I've not nailed it yet but my toiles are already looking better. Last night I also tried my hand at tracing off the pieces from a store-bought shirt dress. That seems to be the best bet so far. Going to sew it up today, and feeling extra inspired having watched this video! Absolutely love your chocolate brown skirt fabric.

Beautiful! Would it be possible to make the turtleneck on a regular sewing machine? I don't own an overlocker.
@RoseryApparel2 жыл бұрын
Yes totally! You can use a stretch needle on your sewing machine and a stretch stitch which will make the thread stretch with the fabric. Sewing stretch fabric on an overlocker is just super quick and the raw edges won’t unravel 😊
