I know that place like the back of my hand. If Rosie turned around and walked back down the hill for 5 mins she would come to the entrance. I was born 150 yards from there and spent 22 years there and go back often. Anyhoo, what can I say, it’s RFT doing a classic song and it’s simply incredible. Saw her in Stoke Newington last week and Omeara before that. There is something about her that makes her stand out from other similar artists.

I am on week 3 of listening to this and can't get enough of this amazing rendition! Often making major changes to a song when covering it dos not appeal to me but this is blowing my mind it's so different and unexpected. Please come the US, what's the hold up?

Its hard to cover a bonafide classic without it being a pastiche or irellevant; this, however is sublime. The reinterpretation preserves the key qualities of the original, with the ethereal voice and driving beat, but done very differently. Add to that the guitar licks and suble riffage (I particularly like the ascending progression in the backing ...very RFT to my ear!), and you have that rarest of things, a cover as good as the original.
