Let's Sew the Hannah Sling by Rosie & David Patterns

This is a step-by-step tutorial for constructing Hannah's Sling by Rosie & David Patterns.

This versatile little sling is small enough to be comfortable while out and about, but large enough to carry the essentials. The outside features a zippered pocket large enough to carry an iPhone 12. The darts at the bottom of the pocket make it roomy enough to carry a few other additional items. The interior features 6 card slots, a slip pocket and a small zippered pocket to safely tuck away some cash. The interior can accommodate a pair of sunglasses in the case, a pack of tissues, a small wallet or whatever other necessities you need. The interior seams are finished with bias binding. The bag measures approximately: 6.0" Wide x 8.0" High x 2.75" Deep

Your tutorials have educated me in so many ways. I purchased the pattern, see "cork or vinyl" on pattern pieces but intend to try my hand using special fabric, orange with flowers and tiny skeleton head center, to make this sling for my great grandson... definitely not girly, but one for him to hold his dinos and tiny men and color changing putty. This is a sweet pattern and if I do well enough then I'll make one for a special little girl being raised by her great Aunt, a precious lady. Rosie, if I am not making card slots, would you suggest making two lining fabrics using pattern piece A? Thanks in advance.

If you don’t want to make the card slots you can just cut a solid lining piece out of pattern piece A.

Is it necessary to use By Annie 4.5 zipper? I have a supply of 5.0 zipper tape and pulls.

The zipper teeth on a #5 zipper has wider teeth than a #4.5 which can make it more difficult to ease the zipper around the curves of the front pocket. It can be any #4.5 zipper…it does not have to be Byannie.
