10:35 I was at this game and the hole for Judkins was so big live that i immediately started cheering thinking he was going to house it. I couldn't believe Howard didn't hand the ball off.

This video shows some of what's great about Will Howard and some of what's not so great. If he pump fakes in the drag route to Gee Scott, then throws that ball to JJ it's most likely a TD. The rpo where Ross shows Howard could've took a step and threw it to JJ when the defender was playing 10yds off. There's another play or 2 they didn't show where JJ was WIDE OPEN in the slot to the left, but Howard threw it in double, tight coverage to tate for short gain. Just shows where Howard is a decent QB to some extent but, at this point in his career after 50+ games, he should be able to see/scan the field and go through his progressions and he doesn't for whatever reason.

That QB run was a Chip Kelly special I think. He used something like that at Oregon and the NFL I believe.

Like this style of video a lot, but wish you guys could find higher-quality film to do it with. It is very hard at times to make out who is who in the blurry footage.

24 points, that's my number. Notre Dame no way scores more than that, and Ohio State definitely scores more than that.....I think ND will be lucky to get 17.
@easyenetwork20236 сағат бұрын
OSU has not scored less than 21 on offense this Playoffs, so I could see them scoring 24.

TX played nearly flawless defense for 4 qtrs, took Smith out of the game and held OSU to 21 points, half what they were averaging in the CFP coming into the Cotton Bowl. Texas' athletes are better than ND's, I don't think that's up for debate. For ND to do this to Smith the way TX did, they're not going to be able to stop OSU's other weapons as well as TX did. I'd think the best efforts from ND's defense holds OSU to 28 points and there's zero chance they'll score that many, zero. My bet is OSU is up 3 td's in the 4th qtr, they give up a late td and finish with the ball, final score, 34-20.

The ignorant haters blame Ohio State coaching for not throwing to JJ Smith
@namaste75819 сағат бұрын
It is on the coaches to get him the ball. He literally said that right at the beginning of the video They have to move him around more and put him in motion to free him up. Can't ever only have 1 catch
@taxisquad114 сағат бұрын
@@namaste758 Ohio State has 3 receivers who are more than capable of carrying a team, NOT just one. Coaches know that forcing anything is STUPID

If Will throws the ball to the pylon to JJ on that Gee throw, it's SIX!

Love Tom… but let’s forget this “Michigan game in”… getting really old 🫤. The opening game makes sense.

The blitz at the end of the first half was not awful, it was the coverage that was awful.

JJ was WIDE open on that pass to Gee and his great effort: 18:18... Would have been a TD.

Everybody knew what Texas was doing....playing 2 high zone even more than they usually do
@jaked674619 сағат бұрын
Can you really say Texas was successful in eliminating JJ? All it did was allow our other guys to feast, if not for self inflicted wounds we would’ve won 38ish to 14 imo. Also don’t think ND has the same athletes Texas does, I just don’t see a way ND scores more than 17 and I don’t see us being held to less than 28
@md-88669 сағат бұрын
Not eliminating JJ = game over in first quarter With texas plan = went down to 2:00 in 4th So yah, I'd say it was successful
@jaked67466 сағат бұрын
@ with OSU blowing its feet off with roadside IEDs the entirety of the first 3 quarters and still winning 28-14, I’d say no it wasn’t. OSU didn’t struggle to move the ball, they struggled to not beat themselves.

Howard tripped on the run, but watch the Safety might have gotten a piece of him as he went by that maybe caused him to break stride. I also think Howard was trying to accelerate and lost footing.
@DrGIUPUI20 сағат бұрын
Howard should have thrown it to Gee Scott sooner. He would have made the 1st down easily. Howard often is late throwing.
@easyenetwork20236 сағат бұрын
Except he makes some great throws down the field too.

Is 77 holding on that 4th and 2 Howard run?? Looks so blatant but def cancels out all the holding on our d line
