1992 in the British touring cars was a good year, 3 of the drivers John Cleland, Tim Harvey and will Hoy going into the last race could win the championship,, in 4th, 5th and 6th place, Harvey's team mate Steve Soper BMW crashed into Clelands Vauxhall taking them off the track costing Cleland the championship.
