Lots of wise words this time, thanks Mark. Lots of injustice in the world. Lots of people who deserve opportunities they never get because they've been set up to fail, so that others may be elevated even further than they already are. Haven't been making or watching videos for a long time, trying to get back into it, yours is the first channel I have gone to!

Hi Adam, good to hear from you mate. Yeah, loads of injustice and corrupt systems to deal with. As for the people not getting them chances it's all rigged. I've come to love your films over these last couple of years Mark. I love your compassion, generosity of spirit, curiosity in all things, openness to chance encounters both with people this side of the mystical veil and with those spirits that may lie beyond... I love how you feel compelled to make connections with a landscape that is haunted by your past and yet one whose mysterious beauty will remain forever inexhaustible and unfathomable. Thanks for this channel. It brings both solace and joy to a lot of people.

Thanks for taking me on that lovely walk mark, it's always a pleasure so keep on keeping on. The haves and have nots, don't get me started, I'm in and out of cities delivering and I see people starving from the wholesomeness of green, muddy, wide open fresh spaces that can help you to have sences for the unknown. This world is magical if you let it in and I have received what I have asked for. What made that lovely little bird give you the signal? None of us know but to notice is priceless, reassuring that you're on the right track to a heavenly destination on earth. 🌏🌞🌧🔥☯️🙏

A pleasure Andy - I'm glad it resonated with you. Aaah, I'm sure you have your views on the disparities. They're most obvious - yeah our cities/country are full of people who cannot afford to feed their families. Or if not families it's crap food for the poor. But for sure there is magic as you rightly say. In my eyes animals are impulsed by higher thoughts/vibrations. They take instruction. Noticing it is is awesome. Thanks for your kind words. Have a great weekend. Mark

Mark, good to see you out walking and to hear you are doing other activities while managing those persistent injuries. In my experience 'simple' and shorter walks can be some of the most glorious for headspace and meditation. It definitely felt peaceful and reflective (even with those loud cars). Loved that scene of you both taking a break under that arch and that 'freedom' message you listened to from the Jenny Wren👍👍 Cool to hear you talking about those lovely hearts and potential of others, which I believe is always there if you want to hear/see it (a bit like the Jenny Wren). It was lovely to be walking with you Mark😊👍

Hi gerry, thanks for coming along. Aaah, I'm healing but it's really odd how they've hung about. Hopefully out for some long hikes and camps in the new year. Minus the cars it's always good for meditation and reflection. Many of my friends had potential - some lost their lives others are still there and some made it - like me. I'll always be there for them and seeking out that potential. Glad you enjoyed the walk. Have a great week gerry. Take care. Mark

Nice slow-burn walk. I enjoyed this amble with you. I'm glad you are taking it easy and not pushing your ankle too much, it must be very frustrating for a walker such as yourself, but hey! you have great locations near you and your beloved river Wye is never too far, and that other essential ingredient, to ease your journey, a chippy! I was sorry to hear your litany of friends and acquaintances who struggled through hard times. Yes, so much lost potential. It's good that you honour them. Thanks Mark for taking me with you on this journey.

That's an old bridge at start, I was in Ross on Wye earlier last year, great place. Loved the town and river wye beside it. Doesn't sound nice having that pain, but good you were able to do the 4 mile walk and nice views of the river. Beautiful tree at 5:46, nice dog and lady at 7:00. A mindful walk with nice commentary. Often what I did when couldn't walk far distances that's what I done , sat on the local bench in woods / park and just practiced mindfulness , viewing the trees and listening to birds for some time before heading off (what I do still but going to wait for it to warm up before going to the benches again). Got enjoyment and always feel better for even a short walk. Yup wealth inequality is a huge issue and makes me sad. Interesting thoughts about the bird to get up and get out. I've had a similar experience but I'm not sure I would class myself as spiritual, just I remember a time I felt so hopeless with my mental health struggling with depression and unsettled mind and I went on a walk to the local common. And just saw a bird hovering and not moving not so far away from me, and maybe I'm young and haven't seen that much but I just found that really cool just staring at the bird for a while and I wondered if this is like some message to carry on at the time (did have thoughts about ending my life around that time). Seeing the bird definitely lifted me up and gave me hope. Nice to see the cows. Good diverse walk. Enjoyed watching. Take care. Rob

It sure is old Rob - 1599. Good to hear you know and like Ross. It is a lovely place. I agree mindfulness is in the simplest of places right on our doorstep. Nice to know of your practice amid wealth inequality. Ha ha! Oh yeah, the Wren got me out alright. I mean it entered my bedroom at the time I needed the help. Nice to see and hear you again Mark! I too am a bit of a graveyard fan - nature and graveyards, two things that bring immediacy to the fore maybe. Nice to see and hear your memories of your walk with Paul and hear of your love for your friends who may not roll with the acceptable/traditional way of living life - totally random as to which pile we get sorted into possibly. I hope Star recognises the love behind the card when he receives it - such a beautiful thing to feel loved and valued…fingers crossed he senses it and yet it may not be enough to stir him from how he views and experiences life. Why some people are moved and others not. Hope the recovery of your shin and ankle continues - at least you’ve been able to swim! I wonder how I will respond if or when my freedom to explore is taken from me…COVID lockdowns were a taster but having 5km to roam around kept me topped up in fairness. Anyway - nice to see and hear you again 😉

Hi Miriam thanks. Good to hear from you and to hear of your interest in graveyards. There lay the story of life. Wherever I go in the Wye catchment I see Paul - stories will always be told but nice that you enjoyed this one. I appreciate that. Yes, some people get delivered a really raw card - I've lived with many and my heart is still with those that haven't recovered. If the card and the love makes a difference than all good and well. As for swimming and freedoms we take what we can and use the time. I hope you find good use of the time if restrictions come your way. I'm sure you will. Thanks Miriam - always good. Mark

When it came back in signal the first notification I saw that had liked my Instagram was you. That made me smile and thing of the Jenny Wren. Take care my friend; hope the shin and ankle improve. Here’s to more adventures; walks and talks in 2022. Off out for a walk into the Pouring Rain 🌧 Perfect I’d say 👍

Really enjoyed the video Mark, good to see you back out, didn’t realise the shin splints had restricted your adventures for so long. The effort you put into your KZbin videos shows. I decided from day one that KZbin in my videos would come second to my enjoyment, I didn’t want KZbin to be so time consuming that I actually lost the quality/enjoyment of being out in nature, hence my videos are nothing like most on KZbin. We all have a spirit guide that directs us, it’s up to us if we want to listen to it. One winter I had the car packed ready for a trip to Scotland. I’m normally buzzing to get out. But all evening I had this feeling that something was not right. Just couldn’t get the feeling out of my head. Ten minutes before setting of at the planned time, 10pm, I sat on the settee and just couldn’t get the negativity out of my head. It was like something saying ‘don’t go’, so I called it off, went to bed, car was packed, fuelled etc. Next morning i woke up, turned on the news to find hundreds of drivers had been stuck on the motorway overnight for 6 hours in freezing temps near Penrith. If I had set off I would have been one of them. Now who or what had sent me the message not to go. I have traveled to Scotland to many times to mention but never ever had those feelings again. You take care my friend, keep on smiling and remember happiness is from within, a big house, expensive car will improve the quality of life but may not make a person happy. Bill

He, Bill I get that about you tube. That winter video I just put up was before youtube. They were great days. Fantastic story about your higher vibes and thoughts. Oh yeah there's a higher sense of things alright. Who knows what else may have happened. A good call not to go. As for the Wren that was in my face. I couldn't ignore it. either. Hey Marky, so good to see you’re out and about. Even more so with your sore leg. And loss of motivation to vlog. I know you must really struggle sometimes. Grief is something we battle with everyday but some are a lot harder than others. I imagine this time of year is especially hard. I really feel for you mate. I do hope little by little that injury gets better. You’re doing well to push yourself. For that you are my hero. I loved the Jenny wren story. Very uplifting. You know when you just need to be reminded that it can’t all be explained? I thought I may see/hear my grandad but not yet. You’re right about the wealthy gravitating towards beauty. I live in Coventry and it’s so cramped and loud. I’d love to get out but it looks to be a wealthy man’s game. I suppose we need to make the best of it and get out to nature when we can hey? Take care Mr J, look after yourself 😊

Hi there Kimberley, good to hear from you. Oh yes, I've said very little about the real dark times - they're just not pretty. But I dig in and Paul pushes me as does my father and all the angels of light, guides and teachers a guide such as the Jenny Wren. What a nudge that was. Your grandad has no doubt been there nudging you but often it's subtle. Look our for him between the cracks or he might do something obvious. Aah, the disparity eh? I can see that in Coventry. Money does buy you experience but as you say we make the best of what we have and there is a lot for free. Thanks Kimberley - see you out there. Mark

Really enjoyed this video, and I so know what you mean about being guided by spirit. Most of my videos and the stories of history I am guided to do. As I do most of my life, stopped asking why, just accepting what is. There always seems to be a reason, even if there are times we can not see why or through the tough times of pain and hurt. I think that's why I haven't managed to come your way, the time isn't right for that story to be told. Wonderful video Mark, wonderful walk and thanks for sharing your thought. Cara x

So interesting Mark, thank you . Hope the ankle get well enough for a good hike. I too really enjoyed swimming and was regularly doing a 100 fast lenghths up to about 5 years ago when my Mum needed caring for until she died so all my time consuming physical pursuits came to and end but slowly getting back into it. I concur with all your thoughts on the spiritual side of life and you are such a compassionate character. I have been lucky in my life when it comes to mental health although many close to me have suffered terribly including my dear mum. I only felt slightly depressed once when I was 19 . We were in a camper van in the Pyrenees, no money ,no petrol, no food and scrumping gardens. I tbought I'm not getting up in the van today. An illegal mobile still parked near us in the village and we got a bottle of spirrit from him it cheered me up. We visited an acquaintance nearby who was leaving his barn accomodation to go to Paris for Christmas and he said stay here and enjoy what I have until I return in the New year. It was a great Christmas. A week later a got a job in a ski station ad things looked up. Merry Christmas Mark. Thank you for the video. ❤

The electro-mechanical machine that is known as the human, is very limited in its senses. People need to open their minds in order to be receptive to things that we cannot 'see' with our eyes or 'hear' with our ears.
