Exactly!Goldberg had momentum and Triple H had a groin injury so him dropping the title to a momentum filled Goldberg would have made sense it could've also given him time to heal up his injury but having HHH win after Goldberg Squashed everyone made him look so stupid and weak and then having HHH drop it a month later made no danm sense

Goldberg was kicking ass at SummerSlam 2003, dude plowed through Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton and Chris Jericho like they were jobbers and then Triple H, mind you, who was injured at the time, steals the win.

I remember when 2003 SummerSlam being the first ever SummerSlam I’ve watched (Because I started watching WWE for the first time in 2003 with WM19 being the first ever WWE PPV that I’ve watched) and I was rooting for Goldberg and I thought Now It’s Time To Dethrone HHH. And when Goldberg lost in ridiculous fashion, that was the legit breaking point of me getting tired of HHH as Champion. It wasn’t Booker T losing to HHH at WM19 cause honestly I was regretfully rooting for HHH (because I was in 4th grade when I first watched WWE and it happened after playing WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It (2001) and HHH was in the game, but Booker T wasn’t 🤷‍♂️) I’m just happy to find out years later that my childhood anger was justified!!!
