Taker always says that he gave priority to storytelling, and this feud demostrated that, and also they did a perfect job in making both Taker and Batista chase eachother most of the feud, plus they protected Batista's character, even tho he had 1 lost and 2 draws before actually beating Undertaker in Cyber Sunday

In 2007, me and my dad were watching TV and he was flipping inbetween channels to keep watching the rugby game he was watching and he changed it Sky TV channel 5 and happened to be on the Cage match on Smackdown with Batista & The Undertaker match with the tied finish. It’s crazy they brought up cyber Sunday in DC with that match. I actually vividly remember that too. I think I was about seven or eight years old and I actually got to go see that live. The funny thing is even Undertaker didn't believe this feud will be so classic. Maybe one of the iconics feuds in Smackdown history. Very complicated to choose but i will say Backlash 2007. I was so shocked about the result of this match than i totally forgot about the Fatal 4 way maint event between Cena, Michaels, Edge and Orton.

This feud was what really got me into wrestling. I grew up with the attitude era but as it tapered off, I started watching less and less, smackdown being on basic cable was easy for me to watch. Their match at WM 23 is probably my favorite Take WM match. After that I was all in on WWE. Edge, Taker, and Batista battled for that title for like 2 and a half years and looking back, it was good times

I honestly don't even remember this feud...like I vaguely remember a few things, but not enough for it to stand out in my memory. I liked Batista, thought he had a great look, had an overall intense persona, but he just really had no snap to his movements and move sets in the ring. Is it me, or does Batista's moves in the ring feel just kinda...soft? Like he's pulling back too much? Remember when Goldberg speared somebody? It had so much power and intensity behind it, much like Bron Breakker today. When Batista punches, slams, or spears someone, its like he turned the intensity down to 50%.
