I think one of the things Jim and a lot of the old school guys are correct about is that a lot of the self-taught folks simply aren't open to criticism or advice. Kenny Omega from what I remember got upset at Harley Race because he went to a training camp and got stuck in the beginner's class even though he considered himself top tier. Race just thought Omega needed some instruction on stuff like psychology, selling, and how to get more impact and fan reaction by doing less work. They are too certain of how great they are and aren't willing to hear anything against their greatness. It reminds me of the anti-vaccination crowd that 'did their own research' and then when you ask them to explain what a vaccine is and how it works on a basic, entry level all they can do is stare at you blankly because they have no idea.

Kenny doesn’t bother me as much as he used to. I think he’s grown up at least a little bit but I still mostly find him insufferable. But I don’t hate him or even dislike him like I do the buckaroos. Those two are completely insufferable in every facet possible. But still, you won’t find me wishing death or injury on them.
