Some of the time, yes. The rest of the time he says a lot of stuff that is simply outdated, and is based on his personal bias, with no objectivity whatsoever. I don't know why he dislikes Japanese wrestling for example. It's hard to take him seriously when he mocks/dismisses the ability of someone like Asuka, who is widely praised as one of the best and toughest women wrestlers in the world.

I mean in this case (at least when it comes to the legal aspect) he is. Theres no credible legal basis for that to be used in a lawsuit. It falls under parody protection laws and him trying to claim defamation would see him laughed out of court then swiftly countersued. Especially given Khan has all the money to fight it.

@@Chuck_EL That’s why AEW hasn’t actually grown as company even tho they have some great talents over there and billionaire’s son who could actually do what’s good for business and make AEW a real profitable company that can maintain itself and actually be a rival to WWE. But he doesn’t care about that, all Tony Khan cares about if fulfilling his childhood fetish of booking a wrestling show and he pays so much people to be his real life toys. Imagine if he hired a real experienced booker, if someone like JR was the head of talent relations, if wrestlers that are over and the big stars get the big pushes not just the EVPs and the people they like. Imagine FTR after being the hottest act in wrestling for a while, getting to fight the Young Bucks for all the belts like a real businessman would have them do, but instead the Young Bucks for obvious reasons decided that they didn’t want to lose the third match against FTR and dropped the belts against a nobody tag team that they didn’t even get pinned and went. To win the trios tags that they created for themselves smh. Or when Hangman went to business for himself on live tv, against the biggest star and the biggest babyface on the main program, what would a real businessman do?! Fine him for putting the whole company in jeopardy or reward him by putting him on world title tournament and let him win it?! I can talk about this all day lol but the main point is that Tony doesn’t want the company to grow, he wants to have fun with it, try to book for the hardcore fans (and by that I mean the nerds not the real pro-wrestling fans) and live his fantasy world.

I love Jim. The big thing with him is that he really hamms it up with his anger and the ridiculous insults he has which makes it hilarious but at the same time, you can see where his frustrations come from. Most of his criticisms of matches/the product and the presentation of everything hold weight because he really takes the time to analyze shit and why it doesn't work/looks too coordinated and unrealistic or why he thinks it's great.

Cornette is an industry treasure. I appreciate and respect his takes because whether it jives with me or not it's his decades of exposure and knowledge of wrestling he wastes no time sugarcoating shit about philosophy, psychology and how he feels about whomever is disgracing the business on whatever night between the two companies. In his view one is overly sterile "entertainment" sometimes missing points of substance (Brian, Jim's co-host places that on Bruce Prichard. Bruce and Jim have a little bad blood but not on a Russo level).....and All Friends Wrestling more often than not resembles a poorly booked modern outlaw mud show with twice the cosplay. A lot has changed in the last two decades but at least neither one is as irelavent as Impact or Control Your Narrative. That's gotta count for something.
