When it comes to Mick Foley, Ross, he's built his whole life and his career like the frickin Terminator, but was able to put over many talent and his own body on the line for our entertainment. But in regards to the matches here's my top 5 in total: 1. Undertaker vs Mankind (Hell in a Cell Match - King of the Ring 1998) 2. Mankind vs The Rock (RAW is WAR 4/1/1999) 3. Mick Foley vs Ric Flair (I Quit Match - SummerSlam 2006) 4. Edge vs Mick Foley (Hardcore Match - WrestleMania 22) 5. Dude Love vs Stone Cold Steve Austin (Over the Edge 1998)

@@JesusIsComingSoon316Well then wouldn’t people who hate the darby stuff actually want him to get hurt badly? I don’t get the whole “I hate this but get home safe” energy. If you don’t like me why not WANT me to end? Like you gotta pick one.
@kaiko80855 ай бұрын
@@JesusIsComingSoon316 that’s also the point I’m trying to make, foley stuff aside. I’m just strictly talking about the people that do waste their time talking about something that sucks whether it’s a person or company but wants someone to stop? It should be easy for non-fans to just not be so bothered by it and just keep watching the other stuff that they like. Darby isn’t mick. I understand that. But still I don’t think that was the comments intentions to begin with. It’s basically if guy hurts himself “bad” if another guy hurts himself “good”. Point is they hurt themselves. Either actually care about the persons health OR talk down on the person. Some people just do both but it actually just looks like someone using two different breads that don’t match for a sandwich.

For me personally..after seeing what these guys go through after retiring and losing so much of legends in early age..i have decided that I'd rather see the person live longer than the wrestler go through one more dangerous spot for the sake of entertainment..i love mox and darby but they do some stupid shit.
@kaiko80855 ай бұрын
@@Kamalakannan665 You definitely put it into better words. I feel the same way. If someone likes a wrestler I do think it would be better for their careers to have longevity so that the fan can see them for a long time. Safety matters a lot. That’s actually why I like certain technical wrestlers a lot cause technical is never really about submissions and stuff but just making sure the opponent can walk out not seriously injured

They brought stuff to a wider mainstream US audience. Barbed wire had been used since at least the ‘80s in Puerto Rico, Japan and parts of the US. Thumbtacks came around more in the 90s and were still relatively new in pro wrestling once he came to WWF tmk.

I got an underrated gem as my favorite foley match. Mankind vs Hbk in your house: mind games 96 for the world title. That match is probably mick’s greatest no stipulation one on one match. Hbk had to tap in to being just as violent as mick during a time when his ring style was flashy & technical. A true clash of styles
@EvolvedHC75 ай бұрын
Foley got paid $300 in 95 money. The Stadium drew 28k people so yes he probably should have gotten paid a bit more but this was 90’s IWA Japan and I’m almost sure there was Yakuza/Japanese mafia involvement in that promotion at that time and it’s likely the majority of the ticket profit would have gone to the Yakuza first then the promotion it’s self then the venue cost, medics, and other stuff, after that likely the show runners and then finally the wrestlers. USA is generally the highest paying pro wrestling scene especially in the past 20ish years but $300 in ‘95 would have likely been more than what he would have been getting in the USA at the time he was mostly doing indies and the occasional ECW show where he’d probably make $0-100 on these shows at best
