You have to pick your risk. A targeted shot or the probability of stepping on a bomb.
@patrickrostig55514 жыл бұрын
A targeted shot onto a target possibly few hundreds meters away with most likely a gun without scopes while running towards an armored vehicle for cover is very unlikely to hit. Running off your “safe” trail onto a minefield just adds a higher risk of injury or death, given the fact that you can step on a mine and still can get shot.

TheInspireMeMan there has been war in Afghanistan before there was American involvement. It began with a taliban uprising in the 1970s, handled primarily by the USSR. Following Russian withdrawal, Afghanistan became a safe haven for islamic extremist ideology and subsequently the attacks on the World Trade Centre happened. America decided to nip it in the bud by seeking out the perpetrators on their own soil. It is a long and tragic war which today, hopefully, comes to a close.
@Azog1504 жыл бұрын
That's the way. KZbin comments are usually full of praise for the bravery of 'our' soliders, and of course they are brave. They are professional soldiers who willingly signed up to be thrown into a situation like this. And they handle it like pros. But the balls it must take for some farmer to pick up an old rusty rifle to start shooting at well armed, trained and equipped professional soldiers from 20+ of the richest nations on earth, knowing they have the fire power to blow you up from the sky into tiny smithereens which you can do nothing about, is pretty extreme. I used to be obsessed with the idea of joining the British Army. I grew out of it, and would never have had what it takes to make it anyway. But the fact is we should never have sent these troops into Afghanistan. These same farmers stuck it out for 13 years of Soviet occupation, they have stuck it out for the almost 20 years of NATO occupation, and they will still be there long after our soldiers have fucked off home. Their religiously conservative views seem abhorrent to us, but the fact is they are there defending their homeland and thanks to various invading foreign powers have known nothing but war over the decades, and even 20 years later we still haven't really worked out exactly why our soldiers were sent to their homeland in the first place, only retrospectively trying to justify it. Tragic really.

Great work done by the whole team and a special shoutout to the cameramen who do an amazing job at what they do. Ross' reaction when he was told he was gone, just stopped in his tracks. You can see that it has affected the soldiers but they aren't showing it, part of their job. But I think it really got to ross

You can really see how much Ross Kempt struggles to maintain his balance, catch his breath, and really operate in this region here as compared to the Royal Marines. I'm not trying to criticize him, I really do think it's a testament the training and acclimation these soldiers receive so they can operate as seamlessly as they do. They're very calm and coordinated at all times. It really motivates you.
@TheOriginalDeckBoy6 жыл бұрын

OK. I know they're good small cameras. It's just the whole gimbal thing that seems a little delicate. I thought something more in a single block like an FS5 or 7 would have been easier to manage? I've never done it though, so I can't speak from experience. Good luck with the request to Ross. And Merry Christmas to you.
@MGPRaleigh6 жыл бұрын
@@grahamtaylor6883 my gimbal took the brunt of the force. If it wasn't for that the camera would be in much rougher shape. They both work very well and there is not a noticable difference at all.
