You can't even compare Georgian language with other languages. It just stands on its own, completely independent. Even among the Kartvelian groups there are languages that are not related to anything at all: e.g. Svan or Mingrelian

@@evothenew3333 Yeah, but she didn't quite bring up how that affects her. It's also a huge difference to be an Albanian growing up and living in Albania, compared to being a second-generation Albanian immigrant in Germany or whatever other place in the world. Like, the British guy mentioned the Caribbean cuisine he knows better than the typical British one as part of his ancestry; the German girl gave some info on her travels, but didn't say anything about her experience as being part Albanian, so I guess this is what "disqualifies" her as representative of the Balkans. Also, I'm guessing the author of the comment wants to see a battle royale of insults play out between said Balkaners, like "A Normal Day in the Balkans" video kind of thing... Not gonna lie, it sounds tempting to see it, but most young people from these countries actually don't give a fuck about the conflicts from early 90s and don't insult each other over the aftermath of Yugoslavia's death. At least that's what any Balkan-born person ever told me so far.

Mmmm Georgian food and wine 🤤 btw. There is an amazing Georgian restaurant in Krakow in Poland, I always go there when I travel to Poland plus have the best Polish liquors 🤤 And sure, British food is known for being quite bad I’m afraid, but living in The UK for many years I have learned that actually the local produce is excellent. And the local restaurants are now trying to regenerate this by creating amazing British foods. Don’t believe me? Even just go to Marks & Spencer and you will understand what I mean. Or a local farmers market in London or in a country side where you can buy incredible British cheese, cider, bread, fruit and veg. It’s all evolving 😊 Btw. I agree, German bread… it’s amazing 🤩 🍞 especially the dark bread varieties. So we all have incredible foods, we just don’t know it always. Great discussion 👌🏼

I am Polish and I remember Russian language lessons at school when Poland was still under the influence of communist Russia - CCCP. In general, I hated learning Russian - it's similar to Polish, but there are a lot of differences. At the end of each lesson, the teacher gave us an instruction to learn the next words. It was interesting because the word "zampomnijtie" / "zapomnij" occurs in both languages, but in Russian it means "remember", and in Polish it means "forget". Therefore, I had the extraordinary joy of forgetting the Russian language.

As a Pole I can say that we are poor - in terms of the connection between prices and salaries, we have similar prices to Germany, but we do earn less (the median brutto salary in Poland for 2022 is just a little above 1000euros, when for Germany it's around 4k; the minimal brutto salary in Germany now is 2100euros, polish is 632). And when you compare prices of some products from Lidl/Aldi/Rossman - they are even cheaper in Germany!! On the other hand, services are still kinda cheap here - just ask the ones who emigrated to the UK or Germany why they always do their nails/hair here ; ) So for me, this is how you measure poor/rich - how much you can get for your money. And when I compare how much I can get with 2100euros, to 2100PLN, we're definitely poor.

Dude, you have no idea about economics at all and you write nonsense. The best indicator of the wealth of a typical person in a given country is GDP Per Capita ($59,402 for Germany; $44,345 for Poland; stats from worlddconomics), not the average, median and minimum. And looking at the GDP per capita, you can see how wrong you are with these prices and salaries, even the minimum, average or median you gave false, but everyone can check on the internet. About hair/nails (haha) - why people who emigrated to Germany/UK do their teeth in Poland or for example Turkey? :)

@@KamilTaki777 Dude, you need to learn to read and understand: I pointed that people who emigrated come TO POLAND for the services like dentistry and beauty. Second of all - please, you can throw all the numbers, of course, but let's be realistic - compare simple thing - how much you can buy in Germany with 20euros and how much you can buy in Poland for 20zl. Even if you earn the median in Poland, 20zl gives you definitely less things. And prices are similar, just in Poland we earn less. And yes, I have checked all the values I gave through few econ sites on the web, so all of them are wrong and you're the only one right?

Russian is not even similar to Belarusian and Ukrainian. Well, now it is, but that is because of 1772-1918 intense Russification. Russian was created from Ruthenian as core and adding influence of Asian (Siberia) tribes languages to the mix.

@The Pretorian Tbh I believe if there are more Polish people living on some area it probably should be part of Poland, if German it should be German. I don't know if u remember, but there was voting made by Polish government back then about where should those lands be merged, Germany or Poland, and people living there decided. I would also add that Germans took quite much people then from inside their country and especially moved to those lands only to win and take more lands, soo... Summarizing, maybe back in the days those areas were German, but it means nothing if current people living on these lands are mostly Polish and feel Polish and want to be merged to their country. Seems reasonable for me. I wouldn't say anything along the lines that Ukraine and other countries should be merged to Poland because those areas were won by us many years ago in wars. Maybe back then it would make sense but not now where most of this people don't want to be part of Poland, they have their own language, culture etc. it really doesn't make sens. If u don't want to believe me, maybe at least u can believe in the definition of "Country". Literally, first line from wiki: "A country is a distinct part of the world, such as a state, nation, or other political entity.".

It seems that many people do not know that there is no geographical border between Europe and Asia, rather there are several. Therefore, you cannot decide whether Georgia is geographically in Europe or Asia. As a Georgian, I will tell you that politically and culturally, Georgia is a part of Europe. Sophia🇬🇪❤

this comment is not very politically correct, so sensible people shall not read it ! 😆saying Georgians are not Europeans is just so ignorant lol, 1) first white individual was found in Georgia, 2) wine as already made in Georgia 7000 years ago, Greek mythology is very close to Georgia and Roman cities still exist in Georgia...so actually Georgia and Caucasus overall are MORE European than the EU , please westerners, it would be so nice if you would be less ignorant since arrogance without smartness does look kind of stupid I can say as a person who grew up among westerners and I am not Georgian ...oh, and yeah, just for information white people came to Europe among other ways through Caucasus ;)

There is a huge stereotype about stealing in Poland. I even know a joke about that. The devil sent his little demon helper on a mission to visit all European countries and ask them to give something very popular in their country. The demon goes to France. He says: Hey! I am a little demon with a bucket, give me something popular in your country! Someone replies: Bonjour! Of course! *gives a baguette* The demon goes to Italy. He says: Hey! I am a little demon with a bucket, give me something popular in your country! Someone replies: Mamma mia, take the pizza! The demon goes to Germany. He says: Hey! I am a little demon with a bucket, give me something popular in your country! Someone replies: Guten morgen! I'll give you a beer! Then the demon goes to some other countries. The only country left is Poland. He goes there and says: Hey! I am a little demon with a buck- wait... WHERE'S MY BUCKET???

-Food, I can’t agree that German food is bad or uninteresting , this coming from someone living in the Levant on the Mediterranean coast, and a hard earned reputation for great food. (1) -“Western people are ignorant” is not accurate, simply because other people’s media doesn’t reach them, and the rare snippets of information they receive in questionable form and content ends up forming the only impression they have about something foreign to them … Western people are misinformed, would be a more accurate statement, even actively misinformed concerning some topics, about themselves and others. -As for “stealing other people’s stuff” … long topic, this is NOT about cultural appropriation, it’s about colonization basically, in it’s new form however since in this day and age you can’t call it that anymore even if it’s still very much there. Take something from someone for whatever reason and it’s called stealing, however legalizing theft , so changing the nomenclature, calling it a “tax”, and eliminating anyone who opposes it, and that becomes socially acceptable AND endlessly repeatable, it’s the same as protection money for a powerful mob boss. That way you can steal a people’s natural resources, land, history, sovereignty, free speech or speech altogether, … as long as you make sure it’s marketed as “freedom” or “democracy” by the ALL the news and THIS misinformation reaches the biggest number of people* * refer to (1)

Hello from Poland About eastern Europeans being rude - It's not being rude - it's being honest. For us, not saying true, and instead saying something nice to hide real thoughts is what we consider rude. Westerners are rude by saying all the nice things and stopping the honesty. If you meet a pole, be ready to be hit with truth that comes with a whole story of the day when you ask "how are you?"

I don't know that German and Polish cuisine are all that different. I always think of kielbasa for Poland. Sausages, pork, dumplings, bread, sauerkraut, not spicy food but still good. British food is...different. In Wisconsin, we get "Jezynowka" blackberry brandy, which is really good, but I think it's made or bottled in Belgium (which is weird) if I'm not mistaken. Do the Polish have any other blackberry brandy varieties?

As a non European living in Europe and also watching this video, my key takeaway is 1. Eastern Europeans are very defensive to criticism 2. Western Europeans are kinda sly and cunning and hardly say what they feel. I think they don't like being openly defensive and I believe they have some residual guilt from starting 2 world wars which almost destroyed the world.
