I can’t believe how the prices have risen on Rossi 92s. I bought a 24 in octagon barrel rifle for $569 over ten years ago. They’re now going for $899.

I got a 44 magnum on gunbroker for $500 back in May, a beautifully crafted gun.

What can I say? It's a Rossi. It sure ain't a Winchester. It shoots. It's rough. It works. And it sure ain't a Winchester. It's a Rossi. Not a Winchester.

I took mine to a gunsmith who smoothed out the action. It’s a great rifle. A lot cheaper than the Japanese reproductions.

Mine is a 20" Blue in 44mag, and I bought it to be a working gun. I removed the buckhorn, added a picatinny rail and a Holosun 503 red dot. It turned my shoulder green for weeks after my first trip to the range, so I've since added a recoil pad, and now my shoulder only turns green for weeks after I take it to the range :O ...It's fulfills it's purpose well, as long as it's purpose isn't to be fun at the range... it'll wipe the smile off your face with the first full magazine.

Lol ya the 357 wasnt as bad. But i was also shooting a old 30-06 that day so it was hard to judge what made my shoulder sore. The Rossi certainly doesnt have any padding just that metal strip

Everybody that removes the buckhorn sight says it's super easy. I had to use a dremel to grind it out. Tried a punch and hammer but just ended up scratching the barrel.
@harlyman20117 ай бұрын
that sucks. i let my 70 year old buddy do the work for me lol. but he was able to just pop it off with a punch. hope you enjoy the gun

It is super easy. Lift the buckhorn upward Remove the riser and drive it out from left to right. Sucks you had to dremel it out. Degrease the scratched area hit it with some xxx steel wool and put some Birchwood Casey cold blue on it. Wait 10 minutes lightly hit it with steel wool again add another coat or 2 then oil it should look like new.

Original sight can always be put back on. It's very easy to swap out

Well it's been 9 months... have you realized that the rifle is a piece of junk yet? Because that is what it is. Should have bought a Winchester!

It’s a fine rifle. I own a 24 in rifle in 45colt. It shoots well at 100 yards.
