Another great video.I have the Rossi .410/.22 combo that I bought several months ago from Academy. I enjoyed it so much that I bought another for $149.00. Shoots Remington 2 1/2 in. rifled slugs and Winchester Super X 3 in. 000 Buck just fine. Use the .22 lr barrel to shoot Aguila Super Colibre .22lr for pest control. Keep up the terrific vids.

Ruby, I like this Rossi enough that I would consider the combo, if I found one at the right price.

These defense loads shoot well out of this gun. 15 yards is probably further away than most people will have to fire in defense. Most likely indoors. Great little gun it seems. Awesome video Sir! Thanks for the content. 👍🏻

Thanks for shooting that ammo. I looked at this 410 but got the I think it's the Hatfield 410 for the wooden stock. Been wanting to try this ammo for kicks. Its funny these single shot shotgun videos are some of the most viewed on my little channel. But I do like them.

I wonder if a extender is available for the stock. It seems if it were a couple of inches longer it would be more comfortable to shoot. I want a Tuffy, and if I can't find an extender for the stock, I'll get some plastic and make one.
@RidersRange2 жыл бұрын
Gene, have you checked the Rossi website? They offer a stock for the Tuffy that looks like it has a larger spacer, but I didn't find any specs.

I tried to read most of the comments for added info, But,,,,,, did you shoot the 'defense' shells with choke in or out? Full choke? And,,,,, I'd love to see & know if it'll shoot slugs,,, say out to 50 yds. If so, I'd buy one for my G-kids,,, for Turkey & deer.? THANKS
@RidersRange3 жыл бұрын
My Tuffy is the 18.5" barrel model with a fixed choke barrel. I don't know exactly what constriction, if any, this barrel has, but it doesn't have a removable choke. The 26" barrel Tuffy Turkey model does have a threaded barrel for choke options. Thanks for watching.

Nick, that's a good question. The Rossi Turkey stock is a little longer and would probably fit the Tuffy action, but probably wouldn't be real cheap.
@bobmcgregor83014 жыл бұрын
Can you get different barrels for it
@RidersRange4 жыл бұрын
Bob, I don't see any different barrels for the Tuffy on the Rossi website. However, the Tuffy "Matched Pair" comes with a .410 barrel and a .22LR barrel. The barrels they show in their on-line store are for the "W" models only, which I presume is their Wizard single shot that is out of production.

@@RidersRange I do believe the choke of that shotgun(Modified) is .404, thus that 45 round is considerably larger than the choke. Rossi shotguns are made on 410 frames, unlike say the thicker barreled H&R's which are just 12 gauges bored out for 410's. I wouldn't recommend firing it out of that Rossi......

in most situations, the perfect survival rifle is a .22lr with the accuracy and dependability of a cz452, and compact as an AR-7. for self reliance, a .22 hornet, reloading bench, and some knowledge. for defense, a double barrel 12 gauge will stop anyone in their tracks, and is legal in most countries. interestingly, i find on our property, i grab the double barrel shotgun 9 times out of 10, when it comes to protecting the livestock. i grab the 308 when it comes to feral control (feral pigs mostly, but we do get water buffalo). I grab the .22lr when it comes to training / small game. and i grab the .177 air rifle, when it comes to a challenge. I have a .223, but in practical terms, it is a glorified .22 hornet, just less efficient. i will probably use it as a pack rifle, as the 308 is a bit heavy. I have been tempted to get a .410 as a lighter shotgun for snakes (i have relocated 37 snakes over 3m long, and unfortunately had to dispatch 3 to save livestock), but when i did the math, the 12 gauge reloads are almost as efficient, and a hell of a lot more bang for the money....also the .410 isn't legal for goose hunting here, so it would be a one trick pony.
