Here is the true great Deborah Voigt with a voice of pure gold, a marvelous technique and a sensitivity to text that made her so great. I was fortunate to hear her several times pre weight loss in Strauss and Wagner and she was unforgettable. I also heard her first new role [Salome] after the weight loss. She still had the technique but the voice was already fading to silver which would later turn to brass.

As Deborah Voigt lost all that weight, sadly her splendid voice lost much of its wonderful richness. I love both singers here, and their great instrumental partners.
