Gillan was somewhat stilted in her performance overall while Jenna effortlessly stepped in to her role making it totally her own.

I think it was a Freudian slip as a fuck you to the people who were whining about him replacing Matt Smith (what Jenna was indirectly talking about, about enjoying working with Peter). Either that or he doesn't like her lol but considering the rest of this and other interviews I doubt that is the case its hard to fake good chemistry with someone you don't like.
