How in the world was this first patch done? It sounds like weird fluids in stereo

I have a video for my Patreon supports that goes through every patch made in this video. Sound source, modulation, FX, mixing what was patched to what etc. The page is here - www.patreon.com/divkid . Interested to get your take on using Patreon as a ways to present extra bonus content to people wanting to fund what I'm doing. Open to feedback good or bad etc so fire away with your thoughts! :)

Hi thanks for this introductory vid, do you know does already exists something like a forum page for user creations of Control Forge/Satellite presets and how would I get them in a readable format

I'm not sure to be honest, I have some work to do on these modules and I'm creating some patches for Control Forge and Satellite so I'm hoping that will all go on a site ... I need to do the work first of course.

Thanks Ben. Just a Q: is there a patch editor for the computer or do you really need the main module to create your own patches from scratch? Cheers

Not sure about upcoming software or anything but it's really easy with the Control Forge.

this module looks great but the screen seems almost indispensable to understand what's going on. How have you fared without the screen?

I was looking at a "Pams New Workout" but this seems to be in a similar price range do you think i'd get more use out of this than Pams in small system?
@DivKid

Well this would be one modulation source with the main CV and some triggers depending on how the presets are working. This isn't programmable like the Control Forge is and Pamela's Workout has 8 outputs. Slightly odd two modules to compare really as they don't do the same things at all really. Standard answer "get both" would apply. Pam's for clocking and rhythmic stuff and an odd tempo synced LFO and this for more complex modulation. Obviously that's a far from ideal answer though.

I'm basically looking for something that can modulate the DPO say when i'm making a bassline and i drop a high note or two i can modulate it so the higher octave gets mashed up kind of thing, i've not used Pams before so i am only going on advice that couple of people said i should defo grab one! So far i've got Maths, DPO, metro and Bl Asteroid filter, gonna get a vca next then i think pams for some rhythmic modulations on the DPO i think, this sattelite seemed to be doing what i kind of thought pams did, i probably need hands on with it to understand it fully i guess.

Satellite is time based modulation based around 8 steps (can be less). Each step is a value, or slope, or random. And each step can have random level or random time applied. It can loop or run through like an envelope etc. Pamela's Workout is timing based and is based on BPM/clock. It will do rhythms multiplications and divisions of the clock and also create LFOs that run a cycle perfectly in time with that clock/BPM etc. Satellite is one modulation source Pamela's Workout is 8.

Hi, nice Video! What module would you prefer....the Satellite or the Wogglebug?
@DivKid
@DivKid 7 жыл бұрын
Satellite for me. Can be programmed to be anything from a simple triangle LFO to things more complex. Can do stepped random easily too. Although Wogglebug would be more instant for certain things.

Thanks for reply! Well...but random stuff is also possible with the satellite? right? so...i don't need a clock out etc....just would like to add some randomness to my sequences and and...

I cannot figure out how to search your content on Patreon. I wanted to find the extra content you spoke of at the end of this video that pertained to the Control Forge, but that would be a serious amount of scrolling through the previous six months. As I'm a Patreon of your content can you send me the link direct?

The best tip for that is that I've started tagging everything "patreon exclusive" and down the left hand column on my main page you highlight certain tags and that's highlighted there. Looking specifically for Satellite footage on my hard drive I think that was part of a few extra videos I lost with mis managing back ups. But ... I am still working on things with Satellite and Control Forge. You raised a good point as well about actually finding content on there. Some sort of creator's own page search function would be cool. I'll get onto them about that and also try to highlight the "featured tags" down the left.

oh and I've found that specific post (I thought I still had some extra stuff in a folder to do as well, but it's just the new things I've been working on). I'll message you on Patreon with the post and video link. Cheers!
