why the tree doesn't shed leaves?

Trees that shed leaves (deciduous trees) are mostly seen in temperate or cold weather countries where they need to conserve energy and water in preparation for harsh winters. In tropical countries like India, the trees don't need to shed leaves since the weather does not turn that cold. Tropical trees are also large-leaved and evergreen for the same reason.
