He’s capable of showing compassion like how he did to Jake all those years ago but he’s misguided and doesn’t want to show weakness in a school that sees him in a current way

Drew is such an interesting character. Despite being unreasonably mean to the music club, he genuinely cares about Jake and defended him when he needed. I think it was cute how Drew constantly missed Jake and asked him to hang out throughout the season - and it was actually pretty considerate how he chose not to push Jake for the truth and instead believed what he was told even though he was starting to get suspicious. Drew is never shown vulnerable at all, he's also not very expressive of his emotions - the most we've seen of him is being dismissive, suspicious, or laid back. It was really sad to see him and Jake fall apart, and suprisingly really heartbreaking to see him feel betrayed despite being the bad guy to the music club all this time. I think, because of Drew's rich family background, and the high position in the social hierarchy that it puts him in, Drew is forced to interact with people who constantly want to please him. I think Drew knows that and I think he is sick of it. That's why he valued Jake who happens to show a genuine interest in one of his hobbies, and I think all this time, or maybe he's only just starting to realize, that he wants genuinity, not just things that would please him. It would be really interesting if we can see more of his story explored. Bonus theory: What if he was actually jealous of the music club for their deep friendships? Or maybe he had an interaction with any of Hailey, Xander, or Luke and they didnt try to please him like the others? The three of course seem so honest, it's not farfetched. And it's made him realize that there is a world beyond what people tell him to please him, and he doesn't like that, so he's just decided - he doesnt like them.

Drew actually cared about Jake and seriously thought the music club was manipulating him. Jake's fear of being judged is very effective in this mess. If they had been able to establish a healthier communication, these problems would not have occurred. Of course, Drew's toxicity is at a problematic level, but I still think he sincerely cares about Jake. Also, I think he was there during the concert.

While he definitely cares about Jake, he has a problem that a lotta toxic friends and family do: He refuses to love him in ways that make him feel loved He thinks that he’s doing perfectly fine the way he is and anyone who can’t accept the kind of love _he_ wants to show is toxic and/or just using him. Which is why instead of just leaving, he says that thing about how Jake was “just manipulating him this whole time” His care for Jake is starting to make him see flaws in the way he treats people, but as all people like him usually are, it’s gonna take more than one person leaving him behind to make him see that he might be wrong

i feel drew. What Jake said in the recording was technically all true, he individually helped each of the music club members and got nothing in return? When Drew and Jake where arguing you can literally see how upset drew he was. All he wanted was Jake back and hanging out with him, not him leaving their friend group and going with some people he hates. Jake should’ve made it clearer for them that he didn’t want to hang out around with them instead of just keep them dangling on a thread. Drew also must have a reason to bully the club bc you don’t see him bully anyone else. I hope s2 can really explain about Drew’s background and perspective since he is one of my favourite characters!

Can we take a second to appreciate how much Rosy has improved over the years!? Like she was amazing in the first episode, but look at how intricate and detailed everything is! The facial expressions convey so much more and I feel like I know the characters so much better! Not only animation wise, but the script is just BEAUTIFUL and song choices just top it off! I was 11 when this show started. Now I'm 14 and I still came back to see the finale. Honestly, this was amazing - the animation, the songs, the voice acting - everything was perfect. I'm so glad to have been along for the whole ride and that it's still not over yet (you had me for a second thinking this was the end). All I ask is Rosy and the rest of the team takes a break before starting work on season 2 since they deserve it after producing such an incredible first one. Out of all the Gacha series I've watched over the years, this one has been the best I've ever seen! i’m not usually someone who comments on videos, but i would like to write this out for everyone behind this wonderful, amazing show. i started watching the music freaks the day it came out, and to see it grow like this has been amazing. personally, throughout the show’s first season’s run time, i had a lot of change in my life, and coming back to this show really was an honor and a comfort. i cannot begin to describe how much this show means to me. I can’t help but feel bad for drew. Jake wasn’t a good friend to him either and people overlook that just because drew wasn’t nice to the music club, however drew saw jake as his best friend and for Jake to randomly start hanging out with the people drew disliked, and then manipulating him for weeks is really not great either. He left drew with no one, and worst of all he waited until he was arguing with drew to tell him that Zoe was cheating on him. Friends don’t do that.

I was basically just bawling at every scene. Everything made me so emotional. Jake's speech, Zander being a supportive brother, the Jailey duets, Drew's scene and the competition. It's honestly been so worth it following this series for 3 years, I was so hyped every time Rosy released an episode. Everyone did a fantastic job making this series so enjoyable, the animators, voice actors, the people who produced the music and Mother Rosy herself. When the credits scene started I was crying😭. It felt so short that I was hoping it hadn't ended yet. And it didn't! The reveal for season 2 had me screaming man. I was honestly expecting it from the moment someone caught the trophy but I didn't get my hopes up😅. Really hyped for season 2 and can I just say that the "Starlight" duet with Jake and Hailey was amazing. I really want them to release it on Spotify🤞. Also, even though I'm excited for season 2, I hope they take a much needed break and to take their time in making it.❤
