Hi Dave how are your blades attached to the drive. Is it a bolt or clip system
@plasmaDaveАй бұрын
@@ijatpingrhyb I guess your would call it a clip. A pin goes through the tube of the cutter and the drive shaft with a clevis clip through the end of the pin.

Hi Dave I'm in South Australia and have just picked up mine this arvo. From my research these machines look identical to the ones sold in the USA under the Champion brand which seem to get a good wrap.Yours still operating well? Appreciate the vid mate👍

Thanks for the message, yes all good it seems to be a tough machine and has done a few hours now. My tyres did go flat though 🤣

@@plasmaDave hey Dave thanks for getting back to me and it's great to hear your still happy with your purchase. I ended up calling Able late today and they said it's quite possible the Champion version in the US is the same beast.The specs are identical.Either way I'm glad I've got one and looking forward to putting it together and seeing how it goes.Cheers mate👍

Has anyone else had a chance to make a video of it in action? The Able website shows a sales rep pushing it around the concrete warehouse floor - Ridiculous! I am not sure that the Champion 19 inch which this model does seem to be the equivalent of has the greatest reviews.... there's quite a bit of talk about having to be careful of wrecking the belt if you go too hard on a first pass- this is because it's purely belt driven - not actual gears. Some early motor failures also. I am happy to be told I am incorrect because I really need a genuine tiller for our acre of clay, weedy, multi-species grass block in Outer North-East Melbourne!
@plasmaDave2 жыл бұрын
We have very heavy soil but not actual clay it is in fact ancient river silt, if we find a stone we name it they are that rare. The machine has coped ok. It is however stop or go, there are no gears only a throttle and you need some strength too control it. I've never heard a belt slip though. I totaly drain the tank and float bowl between runs as they are months apart. I am in the Northern wide bay area queensland..

@@shelbytops hmmm these days my first suspicion would be the carburettor. Modern fuel goes off so quickly and gums it up. I always run mine dry after last use.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the info. Have you done a field test demo and are you happy with the Able RN0500? BTW it sounds like you are living next to a race track lol.
@plasmaDave3 жыл бұрын
Hi i did do a field test demo but the footage was all blurry for some reason and have never gone back to it. The Machine does a good job it's a bit rough in that when you start off it is hard to control the speed but you get used to it. It has done a fair few hours work now and still works just fine.
