Rotary Pipe Cutter Prototype Test

Excellent! I have wondered about a DIY version of the pipe cutter upgrade and you have done it well. I like the jaw chuck much better than the belt used by Plasmacam. I would like to know if you had any challenges setting up the X axis in proper ratio with the Y axis. I would love to see more about this setup.

Without seeing the left side I'm guessing the wire is pulled from the gantry and there is a 2nd motor attached to the chuck that is hooked to the gantry wire.

Correct. The gantry motion is set to turn the rotary rather than move the gantry in this setup.
