Rotary S15 Livery Reveal!! *First Time Knifeless Tape + Coating*

It’s finally livery time!!!!!! I’ve always wanted to try Knifeless tape and design myself, so here we go :) Also the @gtechniq guys came into town to polish and coat the s15 with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra and I topped it off with EXO v5 coating … the results are incredible 😍 - what do yall think?!

Love the way you just have a go at these things diff welding, wrapping etc. even managed to match your shirt to the wrap. I use crystal serum light is ultra pro detailer only.

Absolutely love the livery. Came out amazing. I know its not the pink you wanted but it looks soooo good as it is. Only thing letting it down a bit was the neon yellow wheels that were on it right now. All white wheels or even matching the fade on the wheels (having pink in front and purple in the rear or just the middle color all around) would really tie it together.

I like how there's so many interresting things done to this car. It's definately not your standard youtube s-chassis build! From the 8hp/rotary combo, to the full road car accessories, I think with all of that it should be great when it's done, and properly set up! How many other drift cars will also be good sitting in traffic? That alone is pretty unique.

I think because the doors can be opened, that if you do this again you put little plastic t or I wedges into the door gaps that allow a little extra material to sit there and afford overlap on both sides of the door, maybe 1/2 inch. That would avoid a stretching problem and give enough material to afford for a clean look on either side of the door gaps, to finish it. It would preserve the speed of lining it up along the body, while not having to initially cut three different stripe pieces. It really turned out good.

The problem with the pink is likely a color space issue. If their printer prints in CMYK, it’s somewhat limited in the range of pinks it can produce. I don’t know anything about vinyl printers, but in more traditional printing there are printers that use more base toners beyond CMYK to get a wider gamut of printable colors. It might be something to look into.
