So, as an Italian, Ferrari is an Italian company with an Italian identity and sould. 12 Cilindri (that said completely in italian sound cool too like "dodici cilindri") is a perfect name for the celebration of an engine that is still around despite all the European bullshit. Also, if you are Italian "812 competizione" is not really that hard to say😂. The design, you may like it or not, but is the perfect celebration of a legend. I personally like it, but that is only my opinion.

People seem to forget that Maserati named their car Quattroporte which literally just translates into "Four doors" and Audi has a model called V8 lol. So I don't get the fuss around the 12 Cilindri name. Nothing extraordinary about it. Besides, you're supposed to say the name in Italian language "Dodici Cilindri" which sounds so much better than butchering the name and saying Twelve Cylindri in English. As for the looks of the car I like it a lot. Clean and elegant design what's not to like? It is a departure from Ferrari's usual design language which requires a bit of getting used to but it's definitely a stunning car and it'll age like a fine wine.

@MarcSob226 ай бұрын
The 12 Cilindri is absolutely gorgeous!! Perfect modern version of the 365! This is not a 812 Comp is just another car on the line! To much bla bla bla, three of my clients have 812 Comp, none of them think it's bad! Typical of British people to complain! And you are talking without knowing, this car will only be produced for less than 3.5 years! The production numbers won't be great! And the Revuelto it can be bought easily, typical of Lamborghini lies about sales numbers, I have worked in the area for over 15 years and it was like that with Murcielago, Aventador, Huracan... And this V12 with direct exhaust can produce more than 900hp and spin close to 10000rpm, they kept the limit of 930hp precisely due to the limits of the rules!
@AB-80X6 ай бұрын
None of them think it's bad? Okay. Then let me introduce myself. I took delivery of my 812 Comp in Sep '22, and I am not very impressed. I have driven mine on public roads of course, but I have also had it on Redbull Ring, Spa and Knutstorp. What an absolute disappointment. Does any of your clients actually race, not the Comp, real racing, and have any of them tracked their car? It does NOT work. I'm a massive fan fo the RWS in the 812 SF/GTS because it is non-intrusive and "just there". The Comp? Let's just say that the independent RWS in that car had some teething issues. When you push that car hard, it is impossible to tell whether it loses grip, or just steers. I have had one of the current non-Ferrari F1 drivers driving while I was a passenger, and he had the exact same issue as me. It is fine if you just drive around on the roads having fun, but if you have the abilities to push it, you really find its weaknesses. Sadly few people will ever tell you that their pride and joy is not flawless. Just look at the 458 and the "cult" that follows that thing, yet people will never talk about the flaws of that. Over the course of the winter, I started to long for my 812 GTS. The Comp? Couldn't care less. I really hope they have sorted that RWS for the Cili, otherwise I will have another disappointment on my hands.

As an 812 Comp owner, I think there's a few things you are missing. First off, while you have to buy some depreciating cars, it is not quite as bad as you might think. So don't hype that up please. The second thing is, that you category state that the RWS is great and amazing. I'm selling mine. Why? Because the RWS on the Comp, unlike in the 812SF/GTS does not really work. It is incredibly intrusive in not very predictable. I know for a fact that it was heavily revised for the Cili, and that's a good thing. Revuelto? I have owned a Urus, that's all. I was just offered an Revuelto allocation, and delivery by November. No thanks. Hate the car. You're getting offered a Cili allocation because you have a media outlet. This is not Maranello offering you a car, it's your dealer trying to get your back in. I was offered an early slot moths ago and that offer came from Maranello, not my dealer. This because there's a link between the upcoming LaF successor and the Cili. Most early allocations will be taken by Tier 1 clients and it will happen outside of the dealers.

Looks like Gordon Murray's 60s car collection, interviews, t50 & t33 engineering prowess, & pricing has had a massive impact on Ferrari's course correction 🔥

If you really crave the sound of a V12 then buy an Aston Martin DB9. They sound great, they look fantastic and they cost less than 10% of the cost of the 12 Cilindri.

Though evidently most don't agree, I think that this is the most beautiful Ferrari since the 612 and the F430 Spider. Will I ever be able to own it, agonizingly not unfortunately, but you never know. But I would take one in a heartbeat, whether or not its a larger production run or not. And that spider version is particularly stunning. Would get one in black and let the Miami Vice dreams commence! *Cue the 80s crime drama soundtrack*
