Rotating objects in a circle (Adobe Illustrator®) / 2 easy ways to wrap an object around another one

Here’s how to repeat objects around a circle in Adobe Illustrator®! In this tutorial I’m going to show you two quick and easy ways to copy shapes around a circle, the first method uses the rotate tool, and the other uses the transform effect! Thanks for the tip. I have a question. On the second method did you use the line tool to draw the line to join the centers of the objects you want to rotate? Please explain how u draw the line. Coz I tried and i ended up duplicating both objects on transformation

When you group the line and the cube together, it’s just to set your “center” or pivot point” to the bottom of the line. It will duplicate the line as well, so it sounds like you’re doing it right! Just ungroup and delete the lines after. Hope that helps!

@@timothymachiridza8125 I like to use the direct selection tool (the white mouse tool) to select multiple at a time. But isolation mode works well too!

Mmm. I want rotate 5-point stars around a circle while keeping all stars pointing straight up. How do you do that?

Unfortunately I think you would have to rotate them manually. I don’t know if Illustrator has a way to do this automatically.
