Yeah, I had this problem where the text would always offset the bottom part from the top part if I wanted to the two halfs read from left to right.

For the love, this is exactly what I've always needed! I've been using Illustrator going on 10 years and have always struggled getting flipped text to align correctly and the align to center(!!) is a lifesaver! Thank you for sharing! In nearly a decade of watching tutorials on Illustrator, I don't think I have seen anyone delve into the "Type on a Path" options menu under the Type dropdown. I didn't know this existed until today!

Use the text align tool, and then use the side bars on the artwork to align them.

I had to come back to do a refresher because no one is showing how to flip the text like you did. My trouble was to flip the top text to the bottom but have them aligned on the BASE of the circle BUT it seems like that doesn’t work or I’m not sure how to do that lol SO I’m doing exactly what you’ve just did using the centre settings! I echo the sentiments of so many others. Thank you for this tutorial! I use Illustrator but use Inkscape most of the time, but it doesn't allow is feature. I need to pay for a course to learn to use Illustrator to make svgs. There is probably a lot more I've been missing out on with not using Illustrator.
