My wife bought me one of these a few years ago and I use it all the time. The reason it's better than the microwave is because it makes things crispy instead of soft or soggy. Frozen things are good on it, but I also love to use it to re-heat left-over pizza. Much better than microwave for me because I do not like my pizza flimsy or rock hard like overcooking in the microwave makes bread. Recommendation: use foil instead of putting stuff directly on the platform. It's not the easiest to clean and will not stay non-stick for too long.

Hi Justine! The pizzazz is fantastic for frozen pizzas because you don't have to preheat. The pizza goes right on the pizzazz from the freezer and is done and ready to eat in 12 minutes. The pizzazz also cooks things evenly unlike a microwave, as is probably better for you. We love ours.

The reason the popping is normal when the metal plate is getting hot is because the particles that make up the metal expands when it gets heat (thermal expansion).when the metal starts to get hot and expand the cold plates molecules start to vibrate more causing the mass to stay the same and the volume will change causing its density to decrease.

I love my Air Fryer! It's like a mini convection oven that sits your counter. It's nice because the convection is concentrated in a small area so it makes frozen fries or nuggets super extra crunchy. I make amazing asparagus fries with it.
