Bit of a flub. Greninja ex drop 2 prizes when KO’d. Not 3. Not sure why I said 3 cry 😭. Sad all these decks are struggling so hard. But gg to Hydreigon for the literal last-second push out of this video. Not too late for the other decks to recover too!

Chien Pao is what got me into Pokemon TCG. So sad to see it get rotated out :,(
@InThirdPerson18 сағат бұрын
Just to be clear, Chien-Pao ex is not rotating out. That card is still legal until rotation next year. It’s…just not a good deck right now 😭

I doubt it’ll stay dead. It just needs one good attacker and it’ll come back for one last hurrah before Miraidon rotates.

This rotations was awful in the sense that kiled deck variety, If you look at tournament results dragapult and raging bolt absolutley dominate over every other deck. It even feels like if you dont play those decks you arent competeing.
@russ142218 сағат бұрын
We’ll have Journey Together when rotation happens outside Japan, so deck variety likely won’t be as concentrated.
@marsdavis615217 сағат бұрын
This tends to happen at the start of every rotation because there are so many fewer cards in the format. Once the next few sets come out and there are more cards the variety will likely go back up to where it was before
@mrobbins517 сағат бұрын
Variety has been something of an illusion for the whole time that Drago has dominated though. Idk. Too me that’s a poor reflection of the state of the meta when 1 deck is able to dominate major tournaments so heavily
@InThirdPerson17 сағат бұрын
You’re right. And we literally just saw this last year when rotation occurred and Charizard DOMINATED. And guess what? Even before we got a new round of cards, players figured out how to beat Charizard at its peak and it’s never been the same since. I wouldn’t worry too much about what the meta will look like immediately after rotation cause everything is in flux and will change quickly.
@LiamLovesMetal16 сағат бұрын
You need to start looking on limitless more often. I got like 6 crazy viable decks in my back pocket for post rotation. If you’re only looking at our current format and seeing what those decks lose you’ll give yourself tunnel vision

I'm going to miss playing miraidon ex
@tylahjames13 сағат бұрын
Roaring Moon was the first deck I ever built and played at a league challenge. It’s the deck that started me playing competitively. I’m kinda bummed, but interested in the future. I don’t think I’ll dismantle it though out of respect lol.
@forsaken49288 сағат бұрын
I'm not personally a fan of V cards and I'm happy they are getting removed because they were just simple clones of EXs and a better mega evolution for V stars, however there were a ton of things that they brought to the table in terms of support that was really neat like Rotom and Lumineon. It would be healthy if they added another similar replacement. Losing a lot of the special energy I also feel isn't very positive. Special energy isn't a brand new concept and I expect them to bring them back in one way or another. It could just be that they wanted to wait for them to rotate out so they could tweak numbers and are going to add a handful of them back in the next couple sets.

Apparently Charizard is supposed to be favored against all the turbo decks, but Charizard players seem to dread Roaring Moon
@russ142214 сағат бұрын
@ Frenzied Gouging is one of the most consistent ways to lose a Charizard ex in the early game. It’s not irrecoverable, but it is very annoying. Especially if you only have the single Charizard ex in play.

Chien-Pao with Greninja ex and Revaroom and Pidgeot is not bad, especially without Manaphy around anymore. With the Baxcaliburs to accelerate of course as well

To ba fair, almost no one used radiant Greninja, Switch cart, or even Zapdos in their Miraidon deck. Losing Raichu, Raikou and the Forest stone did downgrade Miraidon's power though
@InThirdPerson12 сағат бұрын
Radiant Greninja, Switch Cart, and Zapdos all saw play in Miraidon, including (but not limited to) Jesse Parker’s Miraidon deck that got 3rd at the 2024 world championships. limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/12241 Not only that, this Miraidon deck with Radiant Greninja, Zapdos, and Switch Cart is being mass produced and sold by Pokemon as part of their world championship series of decks, so many players will be using this combo for years to come. Lists evolve over time, but there was absolutely a time (including the world championships) when Radiant Greninja, Zapdos, and Switch Cart all saw play in Miraidon to great success.

Hoping the rocket set brings back dark patch
@InThirdPerson17 сағат бұрын
When Dark Patch rotated the first time, it was gone for 10 years before we got it back just now. With Dark Patch leaving soon, it will be immediately replaced by N’s PP Up, which is essentially Dark Patch but only for N’s Pokemon. Because of this, I’m 99.99999999% certain we aren’t getting Dark Patch anytime soon. Wouldn’t expect its return for a number of years at the earliest.

@@ClockworkKnightt eh, trumpet needs you to play Blissey and that isn't super good, but Crispin should still be good
@InThirdPerson17 сағат бұрын
On paper, those sound fine. However, it’s currently not translating into results. Again, in the same time that it took Terapagos to get four top 16 placements, Raging Bolt has 180 and Dragapult has 160. Even Gardevoir has 7x more top 16 placements than Terapagos and Garde’s losses to rotation are considerable. Maybe Terapagos stabilizes in the future through those cards or other support. But right now there isn’t enough evidence to suggest that the answers are already here.
@preemptivefaceplant527716 сағат бұрын
@@bardeenios251 it really doesnt, put an energy on terapagos and an energy on another pokemon then energy switch. play 2 terops and play 2 trumpets. both get thier 2 energy
@ClockworkKnightt16 сағат бұрын
@@InThirdPerson I think if you want to make terapagos the main star of the deck then of course it will not perform as consistently as raging bolt, barely anything does, afterall. I think terapagos can also be a package that you pair up with other stuff, the noctowl support is no joke, I think the turtle will continue to be present for many different metas to come just because of the flexibility

Why is people always adding box/control and things like that to the name of their decks?
@gn267714 сағат бұрын
Box deck usually are decks that play around a certain system or mechanic instead of a single Pokémon like ancient box or lost box Control decks play around controlling what your opponent can do (I think I haven’t played against much control decks)

Future Box went over 6 months without a single player making day 2 with it at a major in-person event. limitlesstcg.com/decks/274 It only snapped the streak at the end of January where someone places 183rd. Kudos to you for finding some success online, but Future Box got left behind by the competitive meta long ago.
