No it is an accelerated point so a non inertial frame of reference hence psuedoforces will act at cm which will produce a non-zero torque ABT the point O

@@prakharjain5448 bro baat hai ki com is accelerated. Psuedoforces on the body will pass through com. Hence their torque will be zero.

if it rolls just after burning then would it right to take torque about com???? com is also accelerating here

even if it is, then the pseudo force would be passing through COM, which would give 0 torque

Normal reaction is perpendicular to the contact surface. For a spherical surface perpendicular must pass through the center of sphere.

sir you have said that it would be better if we not find the acceleration using icor in the icor video but here you are using it .sir is it because the contact point i.e the icor has no acceleration at that instant

For just after release case there is NO velocity and angular velocity. And hence no centrepetal acceleration

Good evening sir, Just after releasing angular velocity will be zero, but there will be tangential acceleration

I dont know why people overcomplicate things so much 😕 It is simple, tan theta would be 8/3 using geometry and balance torque using N=mg
