Concerning angular velocity : omega a = omega b (a and b have different position in a circle) But the same point when talking about linear velocity, one traveled long distance compared to the other point, so the linear velocity differ because we compute in meters per second, but angular speed cares only about the radians or revolutions per second. ❤thank you very much indeed

3:51 since arch length (s) is a scalar quantity that represents the distance the rotating objects makes from the initial position to the final position, so (s/t) represent its speed, not velocity; consequently, (w*r) is the speed, not the velocity of the object, am I correct?
@arsei83892 ай бұрын
5:07 yes, point B travels longer distance as compared to A but won't the time it takes to cover that distance also be longer? I mean won't they balance out each other or smt?
@Dashka-vx3qz18 күн бұрын
its a disk so if the point b took longer to rotate then the outer part is gonna fall behind the inner part wich is impossible unless its some flexible disk
@radiantvalor10 күн бұрын
No, they rotate at the same speed

what does centripetal acceleration do to the motion of the object? does the centripetal acceleration mean the object accelerates toward the center based on the arrow?
@jamesmacrae77302 жыл бұрын
A centripetal acceleration is what keeps the body in circular motion, and this centripetal acceleration is enforced by a centripetal force. This centripetal force could be the gravitational force acting on a satellite by a planet.

A 50 kg skip attached to a steel rope on a crane is used to hoist bricks from the ground to the top of a construction site. The steel rope is wound onto a lifting drum with a diameter of 700 mm and rotational frequency of 49 revolutions per minute. The lifting drum is situated on the top floor which is 154 m high. How many seconds will it take to lift bricks, three quarters up the height of the building?
