I like how you let Mike decide how he wants to handle his part and just give him suggestions. You are not like a boss that just takes over and bosses other people around. It is a quality many bosses lack.

Ron, you are pretty quick on your feet. Running up to move the rotator so Mike could pull farther forward. I didn’t see you guys put out any cones or flashing flares. I’m glad that all those people at least moved over (but they should have also slowed down). The wave at the camera , at the end, made me laugh. Have had a bad couple days before watching you video. It felt good to laugh. Always look forward to you videos. Stay safe, and god bless.

Greetings, and Blessings from Ohio ..... To Ron and Mike, Very well done in every respect. This indeed was a different challenge. Kudos to you both. I can't believe the force of the drainage current! You both are wise in the cautions taken while working right on top of it. The current below, and relentless traffic of the Interstate!! Once again, experience, caution and hard work got the job done professionally. Thankful that the driver got away with only injuries. That was a solid hit. Again, thanks and Blessings to Ron, Mike and the entire Midwest family. Blessings to your many subscribers nd viewers as well.

Another stellar recovery, Ron and Mike. Golly gosh, but that Mercury got itself into a toxic situation. It doesn't take much running water to sweep a car away. From the way that car was clinging to the rocks, I would have to say it was Romancing The Stone; which might be the only reason it stayed where it landed, and wasn't swept away. I was biting my nails when you and Mike were close to the torrent, afraid that you might slip on the wet vegetation and fall in. Glad you stayed safe. Had another nail biting moment when Mike had the car on the interstate, and you had to hot foot it up to Tator to move and give him room. Also very pleased to read in the comments that the driver recovered from his injuries.

Ron I said it but I’ll say it again your crew is awesome, when I dispatched was lucky enough to work with some great guys that knew their job. Worst thing happened the flatbed dropped the drive shaft on the way back from a tow into Las Vegas two cars ran over doing damage to both so we not only had to the flatbed but both of them and do repairs the boss had a few words with all the drivers.

Ron, you had mentioned a year or so ago about buying a vehicle (I think it was an old police car) to use as a blocking vehicle. As narrow as your interstate shoulders look, I don't think I'd do a recovery like this without having a police looking unit sitting behind me for higher visibility. This recovery was a nail biter.

A good rule of thumb is to Never assume a job like this will be easy as Murphy law can always strike at any time, especially when dealing with a vehicle tearing over any moving body of water where you don’t have access to one side of the vehicle. Given that you couldn’t see the drivers side of the car very well under those conditions I figured right off the bat it will turn out to be more difficult then first anticipated.
