I felt this one in my soul. I've had sessions like this where no one in the party seems to be able to actually do anything, meanwhile the GM can't seem to roll below a 15 for 90% of their rolls. This is not helped by the fact that the GM for the campaign I'm currently in has RNGesus on his side and has rolled more 20s than the rest of the table combined and doubled.

I've been in this same situation numerous times, I hate it when I'm in them but by all that's holy and not it is the best thing ever to listen to other people lose their shit in these overly long terrible fights where they can't roll for shit (80% of the time I roll sub 10, the other 5% of the time I roll 11-14, and 15% of the time I roll 15-20). I understand the pain, and because I understand it so well, I can't help but laugh maniacally at it when it happens to others.

I don't think they should complicate on recovery checks since you can't crit fail or succeed on them anyway, so complicating it just makes it unnecessarily harder without any benefit. Especially since Thurston only lets boss monsters complicate on nat 1s, and not standard mobs. Or harder uncommon mobs.

I heard this a few times and find it weird. Why are allies taking splash damage when the Alchemist crit fails? It should be no one takes splash damage right?

The feature that allows bomber alchemists to not hurt friends has a rule that on a critical failure. Which in pathfinder 2e is either a nat 1 or missing a DC by ten or more that is doesn't take place. The logic being you fuck up the throw so much you still catch them in the blast despite the safeguards

While sadly I cannot draw, I DO however hold the ability to make monsters in stat form when ever I get inspired by images lol. Yall have a monster suggestion thing anywhere? Even if they needed to br rebalance, or well, balanced at all since that's the part I duck at lol, I would love to commit some suggestions/creations.
