apparently it was changed due to Rothbart coming off as too dark which supposedly clashed with how his voice actor portrayed him, so they gave him the campier song. honestly for me i like both and i think this could have worked if the lyrics were retooled for it being in the beginning of the story like Rothbart singing this as his declaration to take revenge on the king, it sets him up nicely and he can have no more mr. nice guy to show off his "disney villain" side. it just sucks this never got animated

The Black Cauldron for sure, because it comes from 1985, but Quest For Camelot and Anastasia? Well, that's the same, but Anastasia comes from 1997 and Quest For Camelot from 1998.

To be honest, I think someone should convince them to re-release the original Swan Princess movie, but cut out no more. Mr. Nice guy. And animate this scene into the movie. Disney has done similar stuff like this So why not them?

Avitha Nigam I think this should have stayed don’t get me wrong I love his other song but this shows how cruel, evil and dark rothbart really is. “Odette missed her chances to be the queen and my wife” shows that he sorta liked her that’s why he didn’t straight away take the kingdom with magic but since he realized that odette would never love him he chooses her end.

Wish this was in the movie instead of No More Mr. Nice Guy because this song reminds the audience that Rothbart is an evil psychopath who killed Odette’s father. I hate how No More Mr. Nice Guy makes Rothbart look like a silly fun villain even though he’s a murder and a psychopath. I wish this and the deleted scene that’s in Swan Princess 5 were in the first movie instead of what we got.

Agree and btw, don’t u mean assassinated when applied to King William? Here’s the thing; he was a monarch before his assassination by Rothbart. It would have remind the viewers that Rothbart happened to be King William’s assassin.

Wait a minute... It shows that making the vow killed her- it's Odette dropping dead next to Derek at the ball...not transforming to Bridget. I don't quite understand what is happening here. But I loved the lyrics and the storyboard. I like the tune of No more Mr Nice guy, but it sounded more like "I'm gonna ruin the ball!" Than "I am a villain and here's my evil plan" which comes across here.

I know a lot of people say that this is superior to No More Mr. Nice Guy. But personally, I think they made the right choice to deleted this song. Sure, the final song isn’t as dark as this one, but it’s kind of the point. The whole moral of the movie was, “Don’t judge everything by what they seem to be.”, and if they kept this initial song in, Rothbart would’ve been seen as evil through and through. By replacing it with No More Mr. Nice Guy, we get a upbeat Friend Like Me-like song, that capture Rothbart’s personality very well, which is important to the story, to show that even though he may seem as a laughable sorcerer, he’s actually really dangerous and violent. I do wish however, that Jack sang the final song, instead of replacing him.
