Rother Valley parkrun

Saturday 10th February running the Rother Valley parkrun
21th parkrun and 8th at Rother Valley.
Bit of a cold morning, and little bit of a cool breeze blowing in a long the lakes and damp morning, very slippery off the path.
After all the rain, the course was very wet with many puddles and mud on the path made it tricky to keep going quickly in places. felt very hard work this week, but happy to scrape the time I did.

22nd placed finisher out of 392 and 8th in the 40-44 age group

I love your parkruns while im on the treadmil. I upload parkruns too but unfortunately the only time they are this short is when the battery dies half way round 😂. Cracking job ❤

Great run again Matt and under 20 min as well again... Hard to judge on the video but looked like a few deceptive inclines? Not too often you see a 1 lap park run course. It looks like a course for a try at a PB in drier and warmer weather?

Cheers Keith! Yeah, there's a bit of an incline at about 3:10 and again at 4:30, but after it drops back down again, it's virtually flat until the finish. When it is dry and not windy, it is a course you can go quickly on.

great time-trial course in summer - one-lapper, good paths, flat. Only wind could ruin it.

Thank you ! Yeah its good for a quick time time, when its dry underfoot and there is no wind, though that back straight feels like it goes on for ever !
