He is literally the definition of an African American. His parent(s) are from Nigeria which is in Africa. He was born in America, he is African American. Those of us who are descendants of slaves aren’t actually African American. We are Black Americans. We don’t have a strong connection to any African culture such as cuisine, religion, language, etc. But they are still our cousins so we all need to unite to stop racism.

Seeing Rotimi here just reminded me of how disappointed I was when it was revealed that he was the traitor in the movie "Deuces". I'm so happy for his growth. From the way the other crew member called "Papers" showed how displeased he was about the way Deuces accepted the undercover cop into their fold, I was so sure Papers was the traitor as well as the one who killed the girl who was like a sister to them. I never imagined Rotimi's character could be the one. It goes to show that we must be careful of those around us who are always laid-back and seem to always go with the flow.
