Awesome description of everything. It makes life so much easier for any of us that want to copy your design. I want to use a 22mm stainless commercially available skewer so do I need a pulley with a key way or is it just a grub screw that's needed. I can order with or without key way. The pully has a 1" diameter hole so the grub screw just tightens up on the skewer shaft, is that right? Do you think a 12" pulley would work better to slow it down a bit more.

Hello, Is the skewer rid made of stainless steel or aluminum?

The pulleys are aluminium and I got them from a pulley store. 240 mm or 9 inch diameter. The pulley dimensions on the motor is 1 inch.With the motor on low it turns at 8 rpm.
