Even if Divinity is in a way OP, I'd rather have it that way tbh. I think the sword is really unique(would be even morw unique if it had the beams visual effect enabled ffs) and fun to use. And it's awesome that a weapon, used by the Exalted Mad God himself, is obtainable, and isn't some cheap uninteresting garbage. I just like being able to have items and other stuff unchanged from how bosses use them ingame.

2:02 pretty much sums up why I quit this game years ago. That's even before pets were a thing. Permadeath game > tedious grind for specific gear > enemies that have shotgun attacks that guarantee being one-shot no matter how stacked you are if standing directly on top of target > a single moment where you lag where your game client and game server de-syncs and decides that you die, due to no fault of your own. Fundamentally flawed by design.

Honestly, I feel like one of the most forgotten/underrated helmets in the game has to be the Helmet of the Swift Bunny. It was never really a good helmet when it came out, granting you 12 seconds of speedy at the cost of not getting berserk. It was also very overlooked because of what it drops from (only being obtainable from Biff during Easter, until forging was added to the game). So you might be thinking, this helmet seems pretty mediocre, why is it underrated? Well, as of March 2022, helmets no longer have a cooldown, meaning you can buff with the bunny helm, then switch to another helmet and buff again. This isn't really all that helpful if you're switching into a tiered helm or tricorne, since those give speedy anyway. But, what about the helmets that don't give you speedy? Two helmets come to mind: Jugg, and Bee helm Both of them were designed with the drawback of not getting speedy in order to balance them out, but by using bunny helm then switching to the other helm and buffing again, you can remove this drawback entirely. Ever wanted to have god shattering dps, absurdly fast movement speed, and so much defense that it makes knight look squishy? With the bunny helm, it's possible. Ever wanted to have a swarm of bees aiding you as you blitz through dungeons, leaving naught but a trail of ash in your wake as you decimate everything in sight in record time? With the bunny helm, it's possible. And all you have to do is switch out the bunny helm to buff every 12 seconds or so. This means it does what the snake eye ring can do, multiple times over, with less than half the effort it takes to micromanage it. Now, that seems pretty overpowered if you ask me. It's not even that difficult to pull off either, since 12 seconds is usually enough time to need to buff twice with other helmets, that means you don't even have to pay that much attention to do this optimally.

Of course you have iron nugget for the priest, also deca removed the gemstone Mlab robe combo bc they decided it was too powerful after all so that’s why ppl now opt for gem and a robe like mantle or the new shatters st robe to increase mp regen

Immobile classes like wizard and summoner have been more appreciated lately because there’s been more 100% clear dungeons added like oryx sanctuary and HTT but having that much mobility from one item on any class is still bonkers

Divinity, Escutcheon, Lumi, scripture, Vesture, Genesis, Gemstone, fungal tome, pogmur, Oreo is my final list. I originally had stuff like enforcer, primal arcana, crystal shield, tenne, kunai, void quiver, speedy quiver, speedy spell, and ogmur but most of those are just best in slot.

I think that Cuirass is suuuuper underated. Sure, it doesn't give the dps stats that other armors give, but the raw survivability is extremely overpowered. If you combine it with an oreo you spend 50% of the game just completely invulnerable.

When talking about game ballance, pets are the original sin of rotmg. The game will never be ballanced when everyone playing has an infinite source of free health and mana. Pet stasis and sicken are just bandaids, as what used to pass for "endgame content" years ago like tomb of the ancients and oryx 2 are extremely trivial now. Additionally, with the inflated amount of loot new content gives, there is much less incentive to run "old content". Why run an abyss or something for 1 pot when you can run newer content for multiple greater pots. The constant powercreep has created dead content as well. I never see anyone running dungeons like the ice cave for example any more because theres no real reason to do so, whereas a few years ago the whole realm would pile into an ice cave if one dropped (tomb and cdepths as well among others). With that said i still think the game is in a great spot relative to a lot of its lifespan and we have a lot to be grateful to deca for. Been playing for 10 years.

Seb i loved the video but i have a couple comments. For one lab coat and gemstone don't stack. The 56 mana that fungal tome costs with both on is the same amount it costs with just gem on. I also think one of the biggest advantages of fungal tome is it lets you heal WHEN SILENCED/QUIET since the mushrooms don't go away which is really broken. Edit: this is another reason decoys and to some extent summons/fungal spell are broken, they don't go away Also i agree in general that armors and rings are less impactful than abilities or weapons and usually shouldn't be considered as broken. For example the difference between incu and t7 mace is like the difference between horn and no ring at all

@@sebchoof I just forged a lab coat to check. They don't stack. t2 orb (normally 70 mana) cost the same 49 mana with just gem as with gem + coat. If they stacked, it would cost 37 or 38 mana.

warmonger is so stupidly lazily designed im surprised you didn't put it here. higher damage, range, and shot speed than vbow with less amplitude. plus better stats on equip. yeah it gives you less dex when in combat, but oh wait, because of deca programmer's shitty programming skills if you wear horn w/ warmonger you don't lose dex!!! on my bard i currently wear warmonger with horn, vesture, and noble mandolin, and its downright stupid how much damage i do for the amount of range i get

If you really want to optimize damage, use diplo. The mandolin and vesture attack buffs will conflict and make it the same as if you had the 10 attack of diplo, but diplo will do a bit more with the portal proc (and is slightly more defensive if you care for that). But there's no difference in the offensive stats so its not that impactful

To be honest I don’t really think power creep is that much of a problem for this game. It’s not really a big deal that it is becoming easier a lot of people can’t even get all classes 8/8 and lots can’t complete a o3. I’d rather them not make the game less steam rolly it already takes long enough to fully exalt 1 character. If you have a problem with steam rolling the dungeons then don’t do the dungeon with 10 people that all have the most optimal gear and classes.

No mention of EP? people say it takes "skill" to pre ep but even with the o3 footage you provided it proves that in certain groups u can pretty much ep very safely and do the most absurd amount of dps with 0 risk because the o3 will either stagger or or guard with most high dps groups. In shitty pub runs yeah its harder to pre ep but in the vast majority of end game elite discords runs are very safe because of the amount of dps being done because of pre ep wizards. And not to mention u can literally forge it for 0 sulphur with an exalted bp a few shitty uts

some of these are spot on like the cutter and prisms but imo divinity deserves to be as op as it is. it drops from the “hardest dungeon” in the game from the last boss in it so getting the sword can be difficult which is only balanced by how good it is. nobody would be using it if it didn’t have the beams and it being better than the t14 is also understandable because it is a white bag drop which is debatably rarer than the t14/7/15 drops. tbh the only reason it’s op is because it’s forgeable which makes it easier for people to get. other than that it deserves its status as the best sword in the game. tricorn is also kind of an iffy pick cuz yeah it deals a lot of damage but you can’t aim it, you can’t necessarily chose when it goes off, and you would have to be touching nips with the enemy you want to hit for all of the shots to connect. you’d probably just be better off using the st draconis or bee helm if you want that extra damage. while i do agree the classes are becoming less unique and more versatile with the addition of different buffs like curse to practically every class, i feel it offers a more diverse play style to the game and allows more character expression with the different gear you can use. the dps meta has practically destroyed player expression and made everyone focus on damage as the only valuable thing and throws fun right out the window. sometimes i just like my character to be fast af so why not throw a bunch of spd gear on a necro? that makes the game more interesting and fun watching my usually slow char out speed a ninja lol. assassin kinda blows as a class so it having a curse/armor break makes it viable for more group utility as well. so many items in the game are perfectly fine dmg/effects wise because of how rare they are it’s just the toxic discord dps meta and busted forge system that make items go obsolete because it takes so much of the challenge out of the game.
