You're not wrong about Dragonqueen, she was only insane when she could copy herself. Right now it's an decent legendary but if we're talking about card that can actually turn the tides in your favor, Zephrys. Not only is he cheaper but you always get something great from him, insane value and while we're at it if you don't even have Zephrys, Siamat is also a way better card. She's only good when you already have board advantage and have like nothing better to play and want some backup minion and cards to play later.

Checked HSReplays, you're right, she's on the low end of drawn and played winrate for Highlander Hunter, but she's on the high end for Rogue and Warlock. She's really good as a tempo card but pretty weak otherwise so she might be a bad card for Highlander Hunter maybe. An above average card in general but not anywhere near as all-purpose good as Zephrys. Interestingly, she's also good in Highlander Quest Hunter.

100% agree on dragonqueen. I was gonna ask you that if I had the chance before. Watched all of your games from your VODs and more than 90% of the time, she's just sitting in your hand doing nothing. Does not give you board swing when you are behind (even big taunt seems useless versus control), and you could play more proactive plays if you are ahead (assuming you have better plays than her, which you almost always do). Agree that the card is still good on its own, maybe it needs to be added into more specific decks and playstyles.

Anton Wilzewski he has far better stats then ziliax and 4/2 rush and 2/3 taunt ain't bad, even if there's a lot of 5/6 health minions there's plenty of ways to finish them off (ex. Spring paw, desert spear)

Dragonbane you can probably swap in any solid 4 drop you have. Veranus I don't think can be replaced without a huge hit to winrate. One of the few dragons you have and it's just such a huge swing card.

Try a Midrange pure Dragon Hunter ;) I've been absolutely TEARING it up with "4" deadly shot effects and 2 freezing traps. My opponents simply dont get to clear my stuff. I just run them over with my turn 2-4 tempo drops. It's incredibly strong!

Unfortunately Highlander lists are hard to do without legendaries. You just need strong cards when you're squeezing 30 unique things into a deck. It's an unfortunate reality. As I always say, the real solution: MAKE THE GAME CHEAPER!

@@RegisKillbin 100% with you on making the game cheaper! Unfortunately, Blizzarrrgh has not been very customer friendly as of late. If not through actual dollars then making it cheaper through the dust and/or gold would help as well. I try to find a lot of 'discover' cards and sometimes lackey generators to fill in the gaps, but they aren't very reliable. Thanks for the reply. I love your content. It has been a joy watching your videos and streams for the past couple of years.

Evasive Feywing or some other mid sized or small dragon for consistency with the dragon dependent cards. Or some high tempo early card, preferably not a 3 drop. Just a one or two drop good stats minion to fill curve. The houndmaster is a soft taunt and tempo regainer, but maybe if you had more consistent early game, you don't need to catch up as bad.

Well, it's tough to come up with ideas sometimes, honestly. Sometimes it's just obvious and instant what I should do. But usually I just kinda think about possibilities before I fall asleep. Everything now is dragon-themed too, so it's a bit harder, there's only so many dragon movies/shows/games.

To be fair Alextraza carried the first game. You may have won otherwise too,who knows,but she sure made it easier. Now you may say that's just one game and it's true but in my personal experience vs the card,since I don't play highlander decks myself,she turned games more times than she did nothing,either with spell damage dragons or Nozari or w/e. Numbers are on her side as well since you were wondering.Although I agree she is not THE best legendary out there she is far from mediocre IMO. I honestly believe she is top 10 atm for sure. I know how you feel about Dragonqueen, I think she is average in decks that focus on damage like this hunter deck because you are mostly looking for face damage to finish off your opponent and your chances of getting that from her are pretty low.

I checked HS replay, and Alex seems to have have drawn winrates close to that of the deck, for most decks. So its not amazing. One overlooked feature of it is that it is a dragon activator, so for this deck cutting her would hurt the witchdoctor consistency because you are not likely to find a dragon that is better.

Hear me out, fellas. Leeroy is a card so iconic, i can't see him rotating out, and nerfing him is touchy... but here's my simple fix. The Whelps he summons have Taunt. This creates scenarios where you can't just play solitaire and point face, instead having to trade in smaller minions to get that 6 damage onto the opponent's face. Sure, on first glance it seems like it kills Leeroy's charge potential, but there are situations where you have smaller attack minions that couldn't get lethal, but a Leeroy that can, so using the smaller boys to trade into the whelps, clearing the way for Leeroy, is justifiable.

Leeroy is a more expensive fireball that can't bypass taunt. He's fine. He only gets a little crazy with certain combos with warrior and rogue but it ain't often.

I lost uncountable games to dragonqueen Alextrasza. So its true that you need to be ahead to play her, not question about it. But an 8/8 and two 0 mana dragons, even when it low rolls its just a crazy bunch of stats and some decks dont have the answer to that. You can say dragonqueen is not the best card on the world, and that would probably be allways true no matter what, but she is a strong card for sure.

Laws of Hearthstone. Priest always has Cleric on 1, Warrior always has Rover on 1, Mage always has Apprentice in opening, hand, Rouge Always has Leeroy Shadowstep in their hand, and Druid always drops Embiggen on 1.

honestly rotnest is a worse vilespine, but has +3/+1 in stats in comparision. i still think vilespine is better but rotnest is also technically better in the sense you can play it on 6 if you have a dragon in hand, then again Vilespine beats it by being able to be coined out on 4 and kill a specific target of your choice. both are good cards though but i find vilespine to be the better one in general. to bad it's no longer in standard.

One important consideration is class too. Hunter isn't as good at dealing with stuff as efficiently as Rogue. So even though Vilespine might be better in a vacuum (there's really no denying that), Rotnest could still be amazing for its class.

Ya Alex isn’t AMAZING, but thats why she works so well for Highlander play styles. If she were as powerful as Zephyrs then we would only see Highlander decks, but she is a really good card for highlander players. Out of the 6 specific Highlander legendaries out there in standard, she is 3rd or 4th best to me (I could go either way comparing her to Reno). And that ‘feels’ right
