Another comprehensive demonstration of the unique differences between similar balls competing for the same space. I will pick up the X-Cell when I visit WSB Pro Shop soon!

Just got mines drilled and can’t wait to throw it. Definitely need oil for it. Shot my first 300 with the regular OG Cell

Awesome--you're going to love it! Definitely might be my choice for Ball of the Year... we'll see when we post our holiday video in December. Thanks!

Great video! Definitely open my eyes on these bowling balls? What are the bowling ball surfaces of each ball in this video?
@wsbproshop6 ай бұрын
Thanks--much appreciated! All of the surfaces are factory finish, straight out of the box. And, the Gem was freshly drilled... although I didn't mention that in the video

Nice comparison video. With the layouts on these, where does that put the pin for you?
@wsbproshop6 ай бұрын
Using my PAP, the pin is in my middle finger for all of them. That's been my go-to layout for strong balls for the last 2 years or so. A nice blend of "pin up" and "pin down," keeping the flare rings a little tighter and weaker than maybe most people would want them

Man u made this ball look amazing. I use gem for heavy oil then step down to pi. Pi my favorite ball. Do u think cell n pi are too similar to have both? Thanks
@wsbproshop6 ай бұрын
Thanks--appreciate it! That's how I kind of see it: start with Gem or Harsh Reality on heavy oil, and then step down to a Pi or X-Cell. I think the biggest difference between the Pi and X-Cell is that the Pi seems to have a slightly weaker cover, so it stores more and is a bit more angular down lane. For my taste, the X-Cell is a bit more rounded and tumbles in a way that seems to control the pocket safer when I'm still on somewhat fresh conditions

So do you stick to a certain layout for asyms & syms ? I like pin up on syms and pin down for asyms.
@wsbproshop4 ай бұрын
Great question. Mostly I do? I definitely have go-to layouts I use for both. But once in a great while I branch out and experiment, ha.

Would the hammer effect work on these conditions? Is it as strong as the cell?
@wsbproshop2 ай бұрын
Having never thrown an Effect, I don't know to be sure? But I have seen plenty go down the lanes... on house shot, and on long oil. So, yes, I think the Effect would be more than capable :)

I play more right and have the roto grip X-cell and it loves the right of the lane

It does! I've been finding this last week that it really loves squaring up

@@wsbproshop I have bowled with it on oil and on a few times when lanes are dry and it still works great. Haven’t really had any issues of it not finding the pocket, and when I do miss the pocket it’s usually me squeezing the bowl to much or missing my target
