Afternoon Mozzie Flight! | Mosquito XE Freeware | MSFS 2020

Join me for a flight in the freeware Mosquito XE ultralight helicopter by Hants County Gaming!
We'll be departing Cross City, Florida for a low and slow Sunday afternoon flight down to the Composite-FX headquarters in Trenton, Florida, home of the Mosquito helicopter!

You passed it up; it's just a little Southwest of that looped driveway, which isn't actually a driveway, circles behind a shop with propane tanks behind it. You can see Composite FX starting at 25:54 on the left side

Where I landed is the correct spot. It's the field you fly into (coordinates are on the website) and then the shop is the red roof building, which is the one I fly by at your timestamp.

Since it’s virtual, do you ever get the urge to do things you couldn’t do in real life? Like landing on flat roofs, etc?

They are actually a pretty decent helicopter, as far as safety goes. I don't see the turbine version available for download. Bummer. Seems all development stopped a year ago?

I have a chopper in my planes list but it wont lift off. The engine is at 100%? I would love to see a step by step 'how to get choppers in MSFS' for us numptys.

Do you have AirlandFS running? If you do, it likely didn't detect the profile that came with the helicopter. Just click the load profile button and navigate to wherever you placed the CFG file.

I'm pretty sure I've tried most of the helis in VR so far. The Mosquito for sure. It's a blast! Though, I use the Oculus Rift CV1, which has a horrid screen door effect, so I dont typically fly in VR but every once in a while. Maybe one day I'll save up for a new headset, but I think a new PC build is going to come first..

In general of just helicopters? In general I can't really say because I haven't spent a lot of time in X-Plane, but I have heard some developers say that the MSFS flight model is more advanced if you know how to tweak it. That's coming from a few XP devs as well. Though, for now XP and DCS still have the best helicopter flight dynamics around. Though, we'll see what happens when official support lands at the end of this year.
