@@hoonam814 no it's more like I would like to have a Kwad that could be utilized to provide a discrete service in where it can both travel to, and away from certain designated locations with little, to no ability to discern sufficient information about the Kwad to pass said information on to somebody that has no business knowing it. (Such as; it's approach from whatever direction it was coming from. Or the direction it was heading as it's leaving) because if it's silent you don't have to go very far before they can't hear you and determine what direction you are (or are travelling) in by sound alone. If you didn't hear or see your friend leave quietly. And you had no way to contact them, other than see them in person. And they didn't inform you that they even were going to leave, or where they left to. You wouldn't have much to go by to try and determine which way they went. Or where they went to. Now would you? To summarize: If you don't allow folks to have certain pertinent information, then they can't tell the people that you Really Didn't Want to Know such information. Whether innocently, or with malicious intent. So here's what you do, everyday that you step out your door of your house to go somewhere else, as soon as you step out you scream at the top of your lungs exactly where you're going. Do you want everybody within ear-shot to know those things, all the time every time? Just cuz you have to scream your intended location out every time you walk out of the door. Like you got some kind of weird ass tourette's, or something. Even the most innocent person, isn't always fully innocent. Not to mention, if I wanted to stalk somebody, I would just quietly do it myself on foot. Lot-less set, up lot less work, a lot less chance for something messing up and potentially alerting the target to whatever situation that may be happening.

I used to train marines to shoot...worked on a range for years we used to do shot outs and trick shots and such. I'm a very good long distance shooter and I'll be the first to admit I'd have a extremely hard time shooting these down. it's hard to track the movements of the drone to be able to hit it you have to shoot not where it is now but where it's going. exciting video! I'm sharing this because me and my range buddies had this argument. this looks like an expensive shoot day I'll say that much!

Great job guys. Been following all of you for a while and it's great to see you coming together like this. Maybe try to do a head on collision with another vortex. As fast as you can run into each other. Since it's no money out your pocket You could try to see if you can fly through some glass as fast as you can. If any of you know any of your friends that have kids losing there baby teeth... Little bit of string.... Just don't do it over grass. You'll never find the tooth. Let's see a range test for vertical height. Let's see how high you can go past the 400 limit. Maybe do it somewhere where you won't get in trouble. Like the dried salt lake beds where they fire off rockets for fun. But you just go until your battery dies. Dude with roller blades being pulled by 2 quads with rope.

What an awesome video! I'm amazed the shooters got hits on them with handguns, especially at that range! I'm an avid pistol shooter but there's no way in hell I could shoot down a Vortex. Maybe a Phantom or Inspire but I definitely couldn't hit a Vortex flown by Charpu, Mr. Steele, or any of those other guys. Awesome piloting and awesome shooting, this was very entertaining.

here is a idea, how about a long distance race, like a point to point 10 mile or more race.

yes and at 40+ mph that should be enough distance to make it an interesting race. start at the same time, fly until the battery is almost dead, land, switch the battery and the operator and start flying again. first one across the line wins.

+teacher555555 but if there's points that they have to hit and maneuvers it will drastically cut that down and kill the battery. I'm not saying it's not a good idea, somewhere around 5 miles would probably be ideal, unless it's a circular or lapped track where they can swap batteries. but even then it's bad for the ESC

that's why its a good idea to do this either going down a freeway high enough to not hit things like other cars or bridges and low enough not to interfere with air traffic. either that or travel to the Bonneville salt flats where you can have near limitless distance to race on.

***** That is a good idea. Damn good idea. Could also pinch the prongs on the xt60, and a light coating of silicone on the connector so it slides easier, but not too easy. Still might be fun just to see who can maneuver their quad better while tied to another crazy pilot like yourself. I suspect bungee tug of war sounds fun, but probably isn't practical to implement. I bet every match would last to the count of 1 before both quads were on the ground. That wont make for good video.
